Mom & Dad's 50th Anniversary

Although a short stay, we absolutely loved this property!! The house was beautiful and the property was amazing! We rented the pontoon boat as well and had a wonderful time! It was especially nice sitting out by the water with the firepit at night! Would definitely recommend staying here.

A lake vacation is new to our family. It’s typically the ocean, however, we have been forever won over by Lake Gaston! We all prefer the quiet serenity of the lake versus pounding waves
.. “ no salt, no sharks, no worries”
. We have already rebooked this home for next year. There were 13 of us and the house was more than accommodating and beautiful! We were all together when we wanted to be , but also found personal space if needed. We loved Carried Away and would highly recommend it!!!

Party House!

Build in some time for check out cleaning - especially if you have the whole place occupied. Suffice to say there was lots of booze drunk, full trash in the many bathrooms and a kitchen full of food after our four days of a party of 22!! We had a blast and the vibe and river were perfect. We swam, kayaked, hot tubbed and hung out in the many lounge spaces. The house is well set up and maintained!!

Amazing place!

This was the perfect place for our family - all 20 of us! It had everything we could need and want. The large dining table was a great fit along with all the outside dining upstairs and down. Our family especially loved the two game rooms and spent a lot of time there. The outside fire pit was wonderful in the evenings, and the boat, kayaks and paddle boards were fun for all. They were super responsive for any questions or concerns, and showed up to give us boat instructions right away when we arrived. Great service all around! Highly recommend this location, house and property manager!

Family Vacation

Absolutely perfect accommodations! Spacious and spotless home, primo boat dock and cozy fire pit! Enjoyed every moment of our stay. The water by the dock is shallow enough for the young ones to play and have fun! The kayaks and paddle boards served the teenagers and even a couple of us older folks with hours of relaxing exercise. The pontoon boat looked and operated as if it just came off of the sales lot! The property owner/manager and his staff are second to none! Professional, courteous and kind! They made the stay even more enjoyable! We will certainly be looking at a return trip! Well Done!

40th birthday get together

We had 15 of our closest friends come together to celebrate a 40th birthday. The house was perfection -clean, spacious, beautifully decorated, gorgeous view, amazing property, amenities galore, lawn for all the yard games, easy check-in/check-out, plenty of parking. One of the BEST vacation homes ...

Spacious, functional, equipped, comfortable, clean, something for everyone ... Hands down, this was one of the best vacation homes we stayed at. Comfy beds and linens, super functional kitchen, great internet / TVs, awesome grassy lawn / lake access for play, spectacular dinner table that comfortably seats 14, fun hot tub / pool table / games for fun ... Can't wait to return!

This property was really nice, only things I can complain about what the water pressure is pretty bad, we had 20 people in the house and only one person could shower at a time, my 2 yr old got althetes foot for being barefoot (inside), they say u can use the grill but u have to fill the propane tank yourself, they have a fire pit outside but u have to get ur own fire wood, ($75 for them to bring it) for the price to stay there you would imagine these things would be included. We had the hot tub company come out in the middle of our stay to drain and clean the hot tub, which should be something done before we come or after guests leave. These are our complaints as a group, the house was clean and pretty spacious, was a nice week away with family.

Thanksgiving stay

Our family gathered at this lovely home to celebrate Thanksgiving and our parents’ 60 th anniversary. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate! We had plenty of room to spread out or to find a quiet place to be alone. We ate several meals all together at the massive dining table- seats 14!! The sunsets were something to look forward to every evening and especially enjoyed down by the fire pit. We can only imagine how fun Carried Away would be in the summer! We hope to be back- thank you for a wonderful place to gather with our people.
