Want to immerse yourself in nature in the Nantahala National Forest? Bring your mountain bikes and ride the first-class trails at Jackrabbit Mountain (also great for hiking and dog-friendly) less than 20 minutes from the property. Fires Creek Recreation Area (11-minute drive) is another Western NC local favorite for hiking with picturesque views, swimming, and trout fishing.
