« I did not get to stay at the OVO, I booked the wrong date (my error), but having paid Expedia for insurance that would alow me to make changes to the booking, the venue wanted to charge a handling fee that was 100% of the room cost. seeing that it would have cost me the full room cost on top of whatever the actual day would cost me I decided not to cancel and to book elsewhere. »

« Room 1 is extremely small, but was spotless and the bed extremely comfortable. There were too few staff. Service at dinner and the bar was very slow. Dinner wasn't as hot as it should have been. There was too much food on a small plate, I had to hunt under the chicken for my vegetables! Overall, it's quite expensive for food that although was delicious it wasn't hot and not served in a timely manner. »

« Lovely room, views spectacular, booked for Sat and Sun 2 nights Bed & Breakfast however was informed only on check in that there was no breakfast Monday morning as they are closed, dissapointed on Sunday to find all options for food on site where also closed by 6pm, there are pubs about 3 mile away in Middleham but after a couple of drinks during the day no option to drive there so left feeling somewhat hungry until next day to find somewhere for breakfast after checking out. Maybe expedia...

« We had a racing break their it was vey good and clean the only negative was the evening meal finished at 7 we were 2 late. And no breakfast . We could only have 1 coffee each as their was no coffee sachets and milk cartains. When the bar closed »

« What a terrific spot! The bar was comfy, and cosy; the room clean, and tastefully decorated with a comfy bed, and wonderful view of the viaduct and Whernside. And, the fish & chips - exceptional! For us, the staff made our stay, Will, Courtney, Angela, & Val, couldn't do enough for us, despite a very busy bank holiday weekend. « Did not like the abscence of humans until breakfast. The cook was obliging in making me a bacon butty for breakfast. The bed was comfy and the hotel was clean but a wee tired. »
