« The hosts Alex and Katie are a young couple doing a great job running this small boutique hotel! It is is older building however it is well kept up and clean. The rooms are comfortable and provide all necessary amenities. The food in the restaurant is excellent. We would definitely stay here again! »

« This hotel is actually a group of newly renovated residential rooms located within an old historic castle, on very beautiful forested/gardened grounds that overlook the Stornoway harbor and town center. It’s just a short (approximately 15 minutes) walk from the castle to the center of Stornoway, with its restaurants, bars and shops. « Had a lovely relaxing 4 night stay in North Light studio as a solo traveller with a dog. We had everything to make our stay comfortable including the complimentary North Uist distillery gin miniatures and Hebridean oatcakes, much appreciated. « We spent a wonderful week in an apartment in Lews Castle Stornoway. The apartment was very spacious, light and with high ceilings as befits a castle. Its location was excellent, in extensive grounds and in walking distance of Stornoway. It also had views of the harbour. We could watch ferries and cruise ships come in and out. »
