« Small old school single level motel, but it's in beautiful condition, very well maintained and cared for. I got the impression the owners live in the attached home, which is probably why it's so nice. My only actual complaint is the free breakfast was lacking. « I'm sorry to disagree with some of these other reviews. I was unimpressed with this hotel. The room had a slight musty odor, and the bed was a bit outdated and somewhat saggy. Loved the good hot shower though, with lots of pressure. Please take some of the renovation money you are spending and buy a new toaster for the breakfast area! »

« This was a great choice of place to stay while we visited French Lick for my birthday weekend. Just a 10 min or less drive to the casino and lots of good restaurant choices. Friendly staff, clean rooms, and when we were first unloading our suitcases in the room we noticed the smoke alarm was chirping every minute needing new batteries. « I booked this through Expedia but then was also charged TWICE by the hotel for one night. The person who checked me in was confused and he charged me once and I asked him to reverse it. He claimed he did but the next morning I showed two charges for the stay (again I had already paid Expedia). The hotel is now looking into the matter. « This place is absolutely ridiculous! The worst hotel I've ever stayed at! When I 1st checked in the room, it smelled like mildew and the ceiling in the room and restroom is falling down. The sink in the bathroom and the toilet were loose.
