Guest Access
You'll have the entire cabin and its 3.3 wooded acres to yourselves, apart from the garage and one owner closet in the basement (to the right of the bathroom). Both are locked, are not part of the rental and are off-limits. Entry is keyless through the front-door smart lock; your door code arrives 24 hours before check-in. Arriving early? Bags can be dropped on the covered porch.

Interaction
We respect our guests' privacy and aim to provide a seamless, independent stay. We won't be on site, but our team is available through your booking platform's messaging, typically 7 AM–10 PM, and we respond as quickly as possible outside those hours.

Other Details to Note
• Maximum occupancy: 6 registered guests, including children. Visitors must be disclosed in advance and count toward occupancy while present
• Minimum booking age: the primary booking guest must be at least 21 years old and must stay at the property unless specifically approved in advance
• Layout: stairs to the upstairs loft and to the basement. Two full bathrooms — one on the main level, one in the basement
• Parking: free parking for up to 4 vehicles in the gravel driveway. No parking on the grass or the road
• Dogs: up to 2 dogs; $125 per dog, per stay. Dogs over 50 lb require manager approval. The first dog's fee is included in your quote when you select pets. A second dog needs prior approval and is invoiced separately. Trained service animals are not pets: no approval needed, and they don't count toward the dog limit. Service animals and emotional support animals are exempt from pet fees
• Quiet hours: 10 PM–8 AM
• No parties or events: only the registered guests and any disclosed visitors may be at the property
• No smoking or vaping indoors. Smoking and vaping are allowed outdoors only, away from the cabin, with windows and doors closed so no smell gets inside
• No fireworks anywhere on the property
• Fire pit: keep fires small and contained and avoid windy days. Firewood is not provided. The indoor fireplace is electric
• Creek: Roche-A-Cri Creek borders the property. Fishing requires a valid Wisconsin fishing license. Please supervise children near the water
• ATV/UTV/snowmobile: access from the road; no trails on the property
• Wildlife: this is a secluded, wooded property. Expect deer, bats and other animals, and bring bug spray in summer — mosquitoes can be heavy. Please do not feed or approach wildlife
• Water and septic: private well with a filtration system; septic system — please flush toilet paper only
• Streaming: log in to your own accounts on the Roku TV (Guest Mode)
• Essentials provided: towels, linens, Terra Pure shampoo, conditioner and body soap, plus extra blankets, iron and hair dryer
• Security: one exterior camera — a Ring video doorbell at the front door, facing outward. There are no other cameras and no interior cameras. There are no noise monitors
• Owner areas: the garage and one owner closet in the basement (to the right of the bathroom) are locked, are not part of the rental and are off-limits to guests and visitors at all times
• Rental agreement: guests must complete our Short-Term Rental Agreement before arrival
• Guest verification: government-issued photo ID and identity confirmation are required through our secure Hospitable guest portal
• Security deposit: a refundable $250 security deposit is collected through our secure guest portal about 2 days before check-in for every booking, including VRBO, and is refunded about 2 days after checkout when there is no damage, excessive cleaning, missing property, or rule violation
• Deadline: please complete guest verification at least 72 hours before arrival to avoid delays in receiving check-in instructions
• Arrival: check-in 4:00 PM | check-out 10:00 AM. Smart-lock code sent 24 hours before check-in. Early check-in and late checkout can be booked in the Guest Portal starting 1 week before check-in or checkout, for up to 4 hours at $15/hour, subject to availability. Early check-in must be booked at least 4 hours before check-in; late checkout at least 18 hours before checkout

Significant violations — including unauthorized parties, exceeding the approved guest count, illegal substances or underage drinking, or tampering with security or safety equipment — may result in additional charges and may result in termination of the stay.

Charges may apply for property damage, smoking remediation, unauthorized pets or guests, excessive cleaning, missing items, or other costs caused during the reservation.

The setting feels secluded but is only a short drive to Sand Valley Golf Resort, Lake Arrowhead, and Roche-A-Cri State Park. Guests love the mix of rustic log-cabin charm and easy access to outdoor recreation — fishing, hiking, or simply enjoying nature’s quiet soundtrack.

Please note that the road to the cabin is unpaved, but it remains easily drivable.
