Good hotel for one night.

Publié le 15 sept. 2015
We had to come to Farnborough for a funeral, so bookedwithout any knowledge. The staff were lovely, from reception to dining rooms and bar. The beds were comfy, room was clean, tidy, included everthing we would need. We had forgotten toothpaste but no one could a welcome pack. The only thing I would complain about is the walk round to the front of the Pub for the dining and breakfast rooms. As it was raining we got a bit wet. But overall, it was a good stay. Food and rooms were very good, and very good value. Will definately stay here again.

Poor management

Very unpleasant staff. Very unaccommodating. Made us wish we had never booked with them. I would recommend that Expedia remove this property from their roster.

Room to hot

Publié le 31 août 2015
Les + : It was convenient for our visit to family.
Les - : Think it could do with a revamp, the reception carpet was filthy
Situation : N/a busting family.
Our stay was ok, only 1 night, but was far too hot all night,. We were on the ground floor and didn't feel good about leaving a window open especially as there wasn't a small one to open. The Breakfast was ok, only 1 waitress serving the whole dining area, wait wasn't too long but felt sorry for her.

Checked in late but well before the time hotel said to ring them .... no-one on reception, locked "gates" across the desk that remained the same when we were being attended to ! Had to ring the pub to find someone and waited ages ! All decor v tired and dated ...

Nicely located hotel and dogs welcome too

Had a one night stay here with a couple of friends . Our room was tired looking and the carpet didn't fit the room !!!! However this experience wasn't replicated in other rooms. The hotel is in a quiet location but as we were kept awake by what sounded like an elephant staying in he room above us - we didn't have a very good nights sleep.

Shower curtain stained. Not enough power sockets. TV remote batteries held in (badly) with sellotape. TV did not work well, audio kept cutting out. Room smelt of smoke and dust. Walls were very thin. Room 31

Nice Hotel with friendly staff.

Publié le 5 juil. 2015
Les + : It was close to Camberley Theatre, it was excellent value for money as the price we paid included breakfast.
Les - : Our bathroom was not the cleanest, our shower was covered in limescale and the bin in the bathroom was badly dented (it could do with replacing)
Situation : Camberley Theatre seemed to be the closest attraction to hotel.
Hotel staff was very friendly, informative and helpful as nothing was to much trouble. The bedroom was very clean and tidy. Large car parking area to rear and front of hotel. The hotel also offered evening meals (at an e trap cost) should you want one. The Restaurant was old fashioned (in style) but it was very clean - all the waitresses was smartly dressed and were very attentive. Our breakfast looked and was presented well on the plate and what's more it was hot - unlike some of the more expensive hotels we have stayed in our breakfast was delivered to our table lute warm. EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY AND I WOULD THEREFORE RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO MY FRIENDS & FAMILY

The Ely Hotel.

Stayed for 1 night in room number 1. The check in was swift and painless as we checked in earlier in the day, returning late when the security grill was down.Considering there was a wedding taking place, the noise level was surprisingly low, given the previous comments about thin walls.Had a good nights sleep, followed by a hearty full English breakfast. All staff were friendly and cheerful, I would stay again.

Old English Inn with Pub as Annex, good value for money, depending on which date of the week that you were staying!

A good base for our family weekends at Yateley

Would be better with air conditioning. Weather was hot enough to keep windows open during the night, but had to shut the windows because air condition units were running right outside our window and so very noisy. Need to be the other side of building on next visit. Ther wise food and service improved.
