Great House, with a few problems
Pros: The house itself is a gem. The room layout worked great for our extended family of 12. The neighborhood is quiet and the private beach access is great. Cons: Pool is smaller than we expected based on listing pictures. Still okay for cooling off, but not much else once you get a few people in it. The golf cart weâd reserved was out of service for repairs. No oneâs fault, but as a person with disabilities, I think another cart should have been made available for the same rate rather than just telling us we could rent one locally, which is 4x the price. Since there is no vehicle parking at the beach access, and I canât walk the distance from the house to the beach, I wasnât able to visit the beach without asking someone to drop me off. The master bathroom has no window coverings and looks directly onto the neighborâs patio. I was stepping into the shower when I glanced out and saw the neighbor standing there. :) Our teens reported crumbs and a dried contact lens in their âcleanâ sheets on our first night; I didnât see those myself, so take that report with a grain of salt. All TVs are streaming only, no cable, which wouldâve been fine. But to add an app to the living room TV, we needed a Roku pin that the owner couldnât provide. They gave us a few guesses to try, but none worked. Normally not a big deal, I know. But there were major world events happening and with a child in the military we needed to watch some live news and couldnât. Overall, it was just okay.
