Amazing 4 night stay

Celebrated my 50th with 12 close girlfriends. The house was truly perfect- space for everyone to stay comfortably, lots of common spaces with 3 tiers of outdoor decks- all looking out to the expansive beautiful garden, farm and trees! The space was so amazing for spending time with company outdoors or in. Carmina and Jorge catered a meal for us which was also delicious and convenient . I will DEFINITELY return!!

3 generations celebrating together

We rented this house for my mother-in-laws 70th birthday. We had 4 couples and 3 kids stay at the house for 5 nights. We hired the owners to cater a fabulous meal for 20 people. We loved staying in an old farmhouse with modern upgrades. The rooms were clean, well appointed and each bedroom had its own bathroom which we loved. The kids loved playing soccer in the field. We explored Armstrong redwoods, Jenner beach, and nearby towns. The owners were very kind. We would love to stay here again.

Magic Amongst The Redwoods!

We had such an incredible experience during our stay at Sabor Mexicano Farm! The Farmhouse is absolutely beautiful. The details and design elements are both thoughtful and welcoming. We had everything we needed and more for our wedding weekend in the redwoods! We held our wedding ceremony in the Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve with our reception to follow at Sabor Mexicano and it was pure magic! Our guests were blown away by the natural beauty surrounding them and loved the enchanting environment we chose for our special day! We highly recommend booking Sabor Mexicano Farmhouse, it will forever be a place that we hold dear to our hearts! Carmina and Jorge are the best hosts we have ever had. We are so grateful for them and look forward to staying at the farm in the future! :)

Disappointed with property owner

I thought I would be leaving a different review, because the stay itself was amazing but after we left the VRBO the owner tried to blame us for breaking an oven knob and then gluing it back on… which was not the case. Literally no clue what he is talking about. We did not break anything. He charged us $500 for having it “repaired.” Did not send a legit invoice or anything, no pictures, no proof. I’ll be reporting this to VRBO as this is not right. Now we will never be going back. Stay away unless you want to be charged for something you didn’t do.

Multi generational trip

We went on a trip with my grandmother, my parents, my siblings and their partners and my children. The house was perfect for a large group. Each bedroom has a bathroom giving tons of privacy and the AC is controlled in each room for that room. This meant in addition to beautiful cooking spaces everyone had the perfect amount of privacy and could be comfortable in their own space. There are so many things to do within 15 minutes everyone at every activity level was happy. We will hope to come back again!

Perfet house for a family reunion

Our family had a wonderful reunion in this house. The house is clean and comfortable. Common area is divided functionally so family members can have different activities at the same time. Yard is relaxing and peaceful. Our family had a nice walk to the great Armstrong Redwood Forest. One of the highlights of the stay was the great foods Jorge prepared for us. Fresh and delicious. Definately recommend the place.

A lovely weekend spent with friends and family for a 50th birthday celebration. The owners of the property catered our meal one of the days and it was wonderful! (Ceviche is out of this world delicious). Beautiful home and property. Well stocked kitchen. Serene, relaxing location among the trees. ❤️

Fabulous

Held a small yoga retreat here and it was great. The rooms were perfect, so rare to have private bathrooms. The space is lovely, so much attention to detail. Kitchen is well stocked!! The grounds are stunning. The weather was great so we did yoga on the decks - would have been harder if we needed to be inside. But for us it was great. So many areas for gathering, chatting, hanging out. I had a few questions during the weekend and the hosts were responsive right away. Wonderful place -- even better than the pictures. Highly recommend!!

Wonderful property with a great outdoor area, comfortable spaces to sleep, and a great kitchen.

My friends and I stayed here for the weekend and loved the home so much we didnt really feel like leaving the property most of the time. If you want a place to go and enjoy friends and family this is the place for you. The close proximity to a nice hike through some redwoods was an added bonus.

Wonderful Place for a Family Reunion

The home was was the perfect place for our extended family to come together and celebrate Thanksgiving. The home was the most well equipped home we've ever rented, and it had everything we needed (and more). On our first night Chef Jorge cooked us a halibut ceviche and paella dinner that was loved by all. Definitely a bonus to renting this already great home. One thing to note is that there is no cell phone reception (Verizon), which meant I could not pull up the access information online when we arrived. We were stuck outside the gate for a while.

Exceptional Place to Reconnect

Sabor Mexicano is an exceptional retreat to slow down and reconnect with friends and family. Carmina couldn't have been more accommodating and the house was immaculate and perfectly set up for our 4 families. The open floor plan was outstanding for group meals that lasted well into the night with cozy campfires and gatherings around the fire pit. Every room is ensuite with spa-quality touches and the beds were very comfortable. The house itself is fully redone to modern standards but with historic touches everywhere to make a joy to discover. We played games on the lawn, hiked the nearby Armstrong Redwood Forest, played cards long into the night, explored the nearby towns, beaches, and riverfront, and sat chatting while overlooking the beautiful grounds of the farm and hills beyond. If you are looking for an old-world retreat where each can have individual space but with endless possibilities to connect over good meals, discussions, or games - look no further. Highly recommend for family reunions, celebrations, and work retreats where a personal touch is desired.

What an amazing few days at this property. So many bedrooms and bathrooms. Incredible detail to renovations and the location couldn't have been better. We had the host Jorge and his Wife Carmina as private chefs both nights and the wood was really great. Especially the salsas and chocolate cake both nights ;)

Loved every minute of our stay!

We had the most amazing experience staying at this beautiful homestead. The food was exquisite, we booked Jorge for one of our meals. The accommodation was so comfortable, welcoming and beautifully designed. The surroundings were stunning and serene! It provided us with such a memorable occasion for my husbands big birthday celebration. Beautiful Sonoma Venue!

The pictures definitely do the place justice; it’s a beautiful property, with great amenities. We had a couple of immunocompromised folks staying with us and it was easy to hang out outside for hours on the various porches, or around the fire pit or in the hot tub at night when it got cold. Armstrong Redwoods is finally open again and an easy walk down the street; would definitely recommend checking it out. The only thing was that it took us a while to figure out the dishwasher; you need to run the hot water on the sink or it won’t start.
