Avoid this villa. Aside from the mountain views, there's not much good to say. Fairly clean, but riddled with serious problems: jacuzzi empty and full of sand and dirt instead of water, exposed electrical cables in the upstairs bathroom, loose and broken pool tiles that cut several of our group's toes, an ant infestation in the kitchen, and a filthy indoor dishwasher.
We stuck it out the first night as we're a group of 9 in a remote area with few alternatives. Next morning we reported everything to Vrbo/Expedia, who offered a hotel night while the host fixed things. Logistics made that impractical, so we gave her a chance instead. Mistake. Promises weren't kept and the fixes were half hearted. We complained again, and Vrbo/Expedia cancelled the rest of our stay and refunded us.
Host (Carmen) was apologetic when we first raised the issues, but furious when she came to collect the keys after we'd cancelled. Communication was hard going throughout, partly slow replies, partly because her English is very limited despite being listed as spoken in the ad, which complicated things when Vrbo/Expedia tried to mediate.
On the way to our next place, our daughter found this villa listed under another name, "Casa Atalaya Guaro". Some good reviews there, but plenty matching ours.
With investment and care this could be lovely. As it stands, stay away.
