Grundlsee is a beautiful lake just outside of the town of Bad Ausee in Austria. We took the 3-Seen-Tour, a boat and walking tour of three of the lakes in the district (http://www.schifffahrt-grundlsee.at/die-drei-seen-tour/). One of my favorite memories from our honeymoon was when we took the 3-Seen-Tour through the Lake District near Gössl in Austria. For each leg of the three lakes, you grouped with different sets of people based on how much time it took you to complete the walking portion of the tour. On our third leg, we were in a small boat with an outboard motor that landed next to a path where you hiked to the third lake. Upon arrival in the valley where the third lake was found nearly dried up, one of the people in our group took out an Alpine horn and began playing the most beautiful music. Listening to the sounds of the song echoing through the valley was absolutely incredible. He let each of the kids in the group try it out with remarkable patience. #mountains #troveon
We stayed on Grundlsee, a lake just outside of the town of Bad Ausee, and took the 3-Seen-Tour. The tour is a boat and walking tour of three of the lakes in the district (http://www.schifffahrt-grundlsee.at/die-drei-seen-tour/). I would definitely recommend the tour! It takes you to the Toplitzsee lake which is only accessible on foot. There is a restaurant there that serves fresh fish from the lake. Les plus : la proximite et la vue incroyable sur le lac Grundlsee. Le petit dejeuner buffet. Le moins : accueil tres peu aimable, installations vieillotes.

Amazing location, property was super clean and spotless. Front desk was very helpful and kind. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. We traveled with 2 teenagers and they had great time as well. Close to Hallstatt and other good restaurants. Thank you

Taking the 3-Seen Tour of Grundlsee and the two surrounding lakes was a highlight of our honeymoon! Our visit was in October as the few leaves were just starting to turn and it was perfect. The shops and restaurants around the lake were mostly closed down as it was off season for them, but that added to the beauty of the quiet and calm. My happy place is always in the #mountains
