Other things to note
Beyond the world-class fishing and lake activities, there are nearby casinos, great choices for fast food and sit-down dining in Grove, and fantastic bird watching. Amazing mountain biking is only about 30 minutes East near Bella Vista and Bentonville, AR. Off-roading is not far away at America's Outdoor Adventure Park near Jay or head toward the other end of the lake to Disney and the great trails and rock crawling they have.
Some of the great birds you might see while staying with us:
1. American White Pelican
These large, majestic birds are a highlight at Grand Lake, especially during their migration periods in spring and fall. With one of the widest wingspans among North American birds, they are often seen gliding gracefully over the lake's waters. The community celebrates their arrival with the annual Pelican Festival in September, featuring various activities and events.
2. Bald Eagle
Bald Eagles are regularly observed around Grand Lake, particularly during the winter months. They are often seen perched in tall trees near the shoreline or soaring above the lake in search of fish.
3. Great Blue Heron & Great Egret
These elegant wading birds are common sights along the lake's edges. They can often be seen standing823

4. Eastern Bluebird
Known for their vibrant blue plumage and cheerful songs, Eastern Bluebirds are frequently spotted in the area. They are especially active during the spring and summer months.
5. Red-shouldered Hawk
These striking raptors are known for their distinctive calls and are often seen soaring above the lake or perched in trees. They are year-round residents in the area.
6. Various Waterfowl and Shorebirds
Grand Lake hosts a variety of waterfowl and shorebirds, including Spotted Sandpipers, Forster’s Terns, Caspian Terns, and Black-crowned Night-Herons. These species are typically observed during migration periods and add to the rich avian diversity of the lake.
More about the house:
This home is built on a Destination RV frame, so it features an RV-style toilet and an on-demand hot water system. You’ll have continuous hot water, but the water pressure may be slightly lower than in a traditional home.
• The washer/dryer combo is available for guest use but is slow. Plan for small loads that take time to complete.
• Loft stairs and ladders are steep—best for older kids or agile guests.
• Loft ceilings are low - fun for kids but not suitable for standing.
• The home fits up to 8 guests, but it’s most comfortable for a couple and a few kids.
