Mit Abstand das schlechteste Motel/Hotel, welches ich jemals besucht habe.
Schimmel, offene Decken, schmutzige Betten, Löcher in den HandtĂŒchern.
Ekelhaft und widerlich!!!
Initially we were happy to stay, but we had an unanticipated bank emergency come up. We had a relative send us money to pay for the rest of our stay but it was delayed by a bank error.
Rather than listen to my explanation the on duty manager yelled at me to get out and pack our belongings. Then she proceeded to call the room every 5 minutes demanding that I leave before my belongings were packed.
It was a place to lay our head. This is a very old, run down hotel. The entire place reeked of weed. In the first room they gave us there was a colony of ants on the window sill's. When we went to complain they changed our room but when asked about a discount it was NO.. take new room or leave with refund was the response.
One thing should be said. There is no coffee in the morning. Everything else was great but not having coffee for guests is a big fail. How much would it cost to have a pot of coffee in the lobby ?
The place was completely outdated and extremely dirty. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls. There was an awful smell in our room. We couldnât even sleep in the bed because the bedding was so gross. We had to stay on the couches in the living room part of the area.
Old and poorly maintained. Stained towel, black stain on shower curtain, hole (maybe from old light) in ceiling. No coffee available at all in the hotel. Requested enough towels for the two people on reservation and the desk told me to come get them. When I requested the WiFi password the woman at didnât know what it was.
I booked this place to go on vacation at Misquamicut and thought it was nearby so it would be great. The reviews were 7.4 stars which wasnât terrible compared to some of the other hotels so I was like why not weâll give it a shot. I ended up being very wrong when the staff wasnât very friendly at check-in and then I go up to my room and I immediately put on my air conditioner mind you itâs like 82 outand wait for it to cool down so I take a shower in the meantime then I come out to my room and it still hasnât cooled down. I waited two hours.
They key was never working after the secound night they told us that it was the cell phone that was close by thr card .The should have told us from the begining of our stay . Other than that it was amazing i will be coming back to this location i loved it.
I liked: Nothing, was going to leave immediately upon entering. The key card holder was stained with food, which should have been the first sign. The hotel is run down, paint is chipped, holes in the walls, literally paint was covering a long piece of hair in my room! The bathroom..I would not dare shower while there (thankfully there for one night only). No toiletries other than one tiny bar of soap on the sink and tub and I didnt pack shampoo/conditioner thinking they would have. Every towel/facecloth looked like they havent purchased new ones since 2000! You literally can see through them and they were all tinged yellow! The TV channels all were fuzzy in appearance and dont get me started about the lock on our door! Literally a chain lock, had my boyfriend up all night on watch. We saw the police casing the place upon our arrival, which led us to believe that the area must be pretty sketchy...My significant other literally moved his car from the front of the building to right in front of our window to keep eye. I wouldnt place my worst enemy here...stay away!
Our room was not in good clean condition. The sheets had cigarette burns in them. As did the countertops. The remotes for the t.v. did not work. The bathtub was a jet spa type tub and so high it was difficult to step in and out of. We reserved a non smoking room, and yet, the entire place reeked of cigarettes. The check out clerk was rude and would not provide documentation of our check out. As well the check in clerk yelled at us to sign the check in documents which had incorrect information and he did not care. Terrible.
You get what you pay for. This is no frills. Staff was not friendly at check in. Just your basic room with a spacious (but unnecessary) sitting area. The bathroom is small but ok, but found a dead bug on the floor.
The AC worked well and the bed was comfortable enough. Itâs located about 30 minutes to the RI beach which was what we were in the area to enjoy. This room met our basic need for a place to stay at night while we enjoyed our beach time.
The man at the front desk wasn't the friendliest. There were 2 black thin worms in the bathroom. We brought it to the attention of the staff...they did nothing.
Seems hotels in Groton can ask for premium prices for hotels that are in bad shape. Peeling wallpaper, ceilings with water damage, blankets with holes, old linens, carpets with stains, etc. the kitchen area was rusty. I have an upcoming return visit and have booked a VRBO instead of a local hotel.
