The hotel was fairly decent for the location and the price. Not super updated and the bathroom was a bit dingy but expected for a hotel in a small town honestly. The breakfast was very greasy and left my wife and I feeling queasy both days. They also did a nice job clearing the parking lot after a heavy snowfall which I appreciate. Overall I’d give the hotel a 4/5. My issue is with the front desk staff. When we checked in the guy checking us in was decent, not super helpful with my questions and I asked to take a picture of a flyer because the credit card machine was covering it and he said “I don’t care” in an annoyed tone. I got a notification from Expedia that night asking for a check-in review/how the property was. I mentioned that the guy was a bit unhelpful and that the bathroom was dingy/not updated but that’s all. The next evening my wife and I were in the lobby waiting for our shuttle to the event and the front desk workers started talking, loudly saying my full name and room number and saying that I had left a terrible review and I wasn’t checked out yet, “who does he think he is”, “he is such a jerk” then one of them looked at the screen and saying “room ###? I don’t care who they think they are, I’ll go talk to them.” and so on. Loudly saying my room number with my full name in a lobby full of people is unacceptable and extremely rude. If they’re willing to talk like that- what else are they saying about guests in public? Will not stay here again.
