A great position to trek out from - so near to Cragside National Trust, which is a must! We also visited Wallington & Gibside NT & Holy Island. « I booked last minute for a cycle event in the area, the directions were easy to follow, if you screenshot them as advised, phone signal is poor to non existent (bliss) The Meadow View Hut is clean cozy and well appointed, the fire burns very warm so one of the provided logs at a time. If you can’t be bothered with the hassle of the fire, the heating is plenty on its own. Falstone is a great staging post for Kielder Forest, and there’s plenty of adventurous things to do near by, endless walks...

« Sara and Chris were the perfect hosts. They really made our break away something to remember. The Snug had everything we wanted and more besides. The Valentine treats were a lovely gesture and much enjoyed. My little girl slept on her rose petals every night! Everything was so thoughtful from the extra bird and squirrel food to the sliders for use in the hot tub, which we also loved. We loved the walk to the lake and had a delicious meal in the Coach House, but the highlight was our 'pet' red...

« We had a wonderful stay at Settlers lodge. Beautifully decorated and very well equipped! Loved seeing the squirrels around the garden! Set in a great area for walking and exploring. « This is a lovely hotel, situated a 10 minute drive off the A69, and easy driving distance to Hexham, Corbridge, as well as Cumbria and further reaches of Northumberland. Excellent hotel for walkers. The hotel has no lift, so if you struggle with mobility I would strongly recommend contacting the hotel prior to visit, and they can put you in a room just off the car park (accessable via a small ramp).
