Can't complain really.

The hotel is a little outdated. One of the three window panes in my room was all fogged and couldn't hardly see through it. The breakfast was decent...no hot eggs, only hard boiled. The room was clean and the bed was fairly comfortable. All in all it is an ok place...there really isn't much other choice in Grayling.

Disappointed

Publié le 10 avr. 2017
Room appeared old, needs to be updated. The breakfast was almost nonexistent. Only had dollar size pancakes a few half slices of ham, cereal, coffee and juice, no scrambled eggs only a small bowl of hard cooked eggs that were blackened inside and coffee cake that was stale. Wouldn't give us a receipt when requested. Look for a different motel.

Great for a large group Not for a peaceful getaway

My sister and I traveled to Grayling to cross country ski at Hartwick Pines. We choose the Ramada Inn because of the location and the indoor pool, whirlpool, and workout room. We choose a room on the poolside and soon realized it was a mistake. Due to the Oldsmobile Outdoor Recreation Gathering, the poolside was very loud and there was a strong chlorine smell in the room. We asked to be moved to an outside room and the staff was very accommodating. The rooms were clean and the beds very comfortable. This location is great for a large group to gather, but we probably won't stay here again because we prefer a quieter setting.

Won't be back

The staff was friendly, I'll give them that. There were condoms in the desk drawer (from a previous tenant?) and the coffee maker hadn't been changed. I found old coffee grounds in it. The lack of dining options (the advertised restaurant and bar/grille were closed the whole time I was there) was horrible. Cell phone reception was non-existent in my room, and the volume button on the in-room phone didn't work. When I wanted to make a phone call, I had to sit in my car. Overall, I'd give the place a C+.

Mixed reviews...

Overall my stay was okay. The hotel staff was great, the hot tub nice and hot, and the continental breakfast was okay. So far, so good, right? Then there was the absence of the restaurant within the hotel, it was closed the entire time I was there. And Grayling does NOT have many options for dining out other than fast food. I'm told the bar/grille was open, but whenever I checked on it the doors were locked and the lights were off, and I checked at various times to make sure. The in-room phone sucked. I couldn't get any volume on it, and when I told the front desk they sent someone from housekeeping to point out the volume adjustor, which we set on "HIGH", but still the phone didn't have any volume. This wouldn't have been too bad except that the only place I could get cellphone service was out in my car in the parking lot. I felt cut off from the very people I was there to see, not good! And lastly, in their efforts to help the environment, the hotel bought eco-friendly toilets which use a minimum of water, and I do mean "minimum". When taking a dump, I wasn't hitting any water, and after eating only fast food for a few days, it stank. I felt like I was sitting in my own filth. And in a bathroom that didn't have a fan in it, that's just not good. It reminded me of the old rest stops from years ago when the facilities provided were little more than outhouses. This could be a 5-star hotel if it weren't for the lack of the advertised restaurant, no phones, etc.

conveniently located next to I75, rooms decent

Publié le 6 févr. 2017 sur Orbitz
Les + : price, convention facilities
Les - : the outside is kind of dumpy
Situation : great restaurant next door called "Dead Bear"
It looks like a dive from the outside but the rooms are clean and has breakfast, pool, hot tub, convention rooms and workout room. Not the Taj Mahal but conveniently located, easy parking even for snowmobile trailers and cheap.
