Retraite familiale de Muskoka sur le lac Sparrow

Cette propriété nouvellement énumérés est entièrement rénové chalet de 3 chambres et situé à 1. 5 heures de route de Toronto sur Sparrow Lake. Situé sur une baie tranquille avec 165 pieds du lac Frontage. Le chalet est d'environ 1400 pieds carrés avec une grande terrasse. Il y a trois chambres avec lits queen dans chacun qui dorment six et deux salles de bain complètes. Il y a aussi un Bunkie avec un Futon pour plus d'espace. Il a une grande pelouse qui mène tout le chemin au quai et un rivage sablonneux avec un front de mer peu profond.

Le chalet sera propre à votre arrivée et nous demandons qu'il soit laissé propre à la fin de votre séjour. Ce chalet est entièrement meublé, avec la plupart des choses dont vous aurez besoin déjà là. Nous fournissons les oreillers et les couvre-lits et vous demandons d'apporter vos propres draps, serviettes de plage et de toilette.

Description de l'emplacement:
Il y a des tonnes à faire autour de la ville. Gravenhurst, Bala et Orilia sont à 20 minutes en voiture. Des magasins, des épiceries, la LCBO, un magasin de bière, des boutiques pittoresques et des boulangeries se trouvent à quelques minutes de route.

Very relaxing. Everyone enjoyed it. Husband would have wished to stay for an extra day -- 9 days instead of 8. Next time we will know. One thing I really liked was that there were several sets of cutlery and dishes and glasses, not your usual 8 (or even 4!) The kitchen was very fully equipped in general.

We enjoyed our stay and found the cottage lovely. It had a large deck and large backyard. There is a steep incline from the deck to get to the waterfront and firepit. The waterfront was not so good for swimming as it was rocky and weedy, however there are plenty of water float toys to make use of. Thanks Kathy

The property is modern and well maintained. The Napoleon BBQ grill was brand new. The kitchen had everything you’d need. We used the Kayaks - there’s also kiddie ones as well as outdoor toys for the kids. We brought our golden retrievers who spent all day in the lake. One tip, bring drinking water. Thanks Vivian for being an awesome host.

We had a great week at this property! The house was very comfortable and the kitchen/dining/living area was perfect. We cooked a lot and found everything we needed in the kitchen. The lake is a bit weedy in the area but my kids spent everyday in the water. The lily pad was great and we rented a pontoon boat for two days which was really fun. A note: in the listing it shows the bunkie having a queen sized futon but currently has a small love seat with chaise. Vivian was super responsive when we needed to reach out to her. A great stay overall!

Cottage is wonderful and has just about everything you would want. We were 5 adults and 2 children and did not feel cramped. Air conditioning was adequate and there were plenty of fans as well. Beds in cabin were very comfortable. Screen enclosure around patio deck was greatly appreciated. Sparrow Lake is beautiful and we had some great fish feasts. It will be a memory we will all cherish.

The cottage is lovely and has everything you need for a nice Muskoka vacation. The property is a good size for family fun. Yes, it is located on a reedy part of the lake, but if you like nature, the biodiversity would be a good learning experience for you kids. We saw an otter, beaver, turtle, great blue heron, frogs, toads and fish. We enjoyed the canoe and kayaks. Our only problem was the heat. The AC unit was not installed and my 76 year old mother was uncomfortable.

The cottage is lovely. The attention to detail is impressive. The kitchen has everything one could possibly need. The fridge, cupboards, and so on were spotless. The live-edge dining room table, leather couch and chairs, open concept eating/cooking/sitting area were perfect. The two bathrooms were clean, modern, and bright. The bedrooms were very comfortable and set back from the main area so that they were peaceful and quiet. The deck, just out through the sliding glass doors, had a dining table smartly surrounded by netting. Down two steps and still on the deck were four comfy armchairs separated by a propane fire table. The path down to the lakefront is wide and easy to navigate. The fire pit area is perfect with 6 lovely red Muskoka chairs. The toys were super. Kayaks, paddle boards, and a canoe sit easily accessible beside the sand beach (that had been raked like at a 5-star resort). The water- this is the part that the owner has no control over but is/was important to us. You could walk in on sand to mid-thigh about 10-15 feet from shore and then the weeds started. The weeds are from the lake floor to the surface and are everywhere. One cannot swim from the beach area or beyond the dock due to the weeds. And for us, this was disappointing. BUT , if you do not plan on swimming from the shore or dock, the waterfront and shoreline are picturesque. Thank you Vivian for the use of your very well appointed cottage and grounds.

This property was perfect for our family getaway. The amenities were great and allowed us great entertainment enjoying the lake on the paddle boards, kayaks and peddle boat. The location was quiet, private and peaceful for relaxing evenings by the fire or lounging with a great lake view. The cottage was well stocked and we had everything we needed and more. Myself and 6 other girlfriends (All 30+) stayed at this cottage for our annual girls' cottage weekend and we had the best time! The cottage is even more beautiful than the photos. Everything was clean, the owner let us have early check-in, she was easy to communicate with, the beds were very comfortable, and we really enjoyed being on the water and being able to have a fire at night - there was firewood already there for us. There's lots of privacy with the trees surrounding the property so we didn't see any neighbours. We would 100% stay here again!

We have been renting cottages in the Muskoka area for many years and this one on Sparrow Lake is surely one of the best yet! It proved to be very comfortable and spacious for us – two somewhat senior couples looking for a quiet place to relax by a lake! Our favourite activity was to sit and read in the sun on the dock during the day and then around the gas firepit on the deck in the evening. This cottage was well stocked with the essential amenities except for a tea pot – luckily, we were able to buy a very nice vintage pot to add to our home collection at the Blue Willow Tea Shop in Gravenhurst. A disappointment was the abundance of weed in the otherwise clean and clear water – some blown in from across the lake and a more invasive Eurasian Milfoil type growing around the shoreline. Because of this, we did not feel comfortable about going into the water to swim. On arrival, we did need to do some minor clean-up in one of bathrooms and the refrigerator. It seems that a previous renter had either misplaced or (mistakenly?) removed the satellite TV tuner box from the bedroom, as well as the remote control for the DVD player, so we were unable to use those particular devices. The main TV in the family room, however, worked just fine and the Wi-Fi router provided a very good signal even all the way down on the dock. This is probably due to a recent installation of a Wi-Fi bridge to a local community network because we had to contact Vivian regarding the password, which did not work! It had ominously referred to the ’need for speed’ but has recently been changed to the password now shown on the website. All in all, we did find this cottage to be what we were looking for – perhaps if we had been there during the warmer summer weeks, the condition of the lake may have been more of a disappointment

Wonderful cottage! Clean, beautiful, and well stocked. Easy access to the dock and water, with absolutely stunning sunsets. Vivian was very responsive, and we kept busy with all of the games, puzzles, and great hiking nearby (Tree Museum). I highly recommend this lovely cottage on Sparrow Lake!
