« We have enjoyed a fantastic 2 night stay, the location was spot on only 2 minutes to Lake Windermere and the ferry landing point. Colin is the perfect host, very attentive, knowledgeable of the area and looked after us well. Breakfast was a lovely; full English in a cosy setting. The room was fine with all amenities. It was our birthdays whilst there and Colin decorated the room, these touches are most appreciated. Definitely recommend 10/10 »

« Location was perfect right in the centre of historic Hawkshead ask about car parking at the primary school. On Suite was very small, the vanity didn’t drain properly, the sensor light is a pain when you don’t want to wake-up your partner at night! « The room facilities were a bit disappointing. The TV remote control did not respond properly, some of the letters on the buttons had worn off, and the remote itself was quite dirty, so I did not feel comfortable touching it. In addition, The bidet toilet seat was also switched off, so I could not use it on the first day. Overall, I felt that the room facilities were not properly checked before my arrival. »
