Terrace Point on Lake Superior

Do you value privacy, Lake Superior views from every room, and light? So do we. Terrace Point 11A is an upper end unit that is situated in a way that offers outstanding privacy without compromising the view. It is just fifty-feet from Lake Superior with over twenty-six feet of windows. Even on the darkest of days this unit is filled with light. If you value cozy - we have you covered. Our one-bedroom unit offers outstanding Lake Superior views from the king-size bed. Our bathroom offers a walk-in shower and Jacuzzi type soaker tub. In-floor radiant heat warms you while watching a November storm unfold. Besides the incredible views in the living room there is also a gas fireplace framed with North Shore Ledge-rock. It is hard to leave the two Fjord swivel leather recliners which allow you to shift between the 180-degree Lake Superior views, the fireplace, and the Smart TV (that disappears into the wall when not in use). We encourage you to take advantage of our fully stocked kitchen and enjoy your meals on our dining table with lake views or if the weather is nice take advantage of the private deck. Sitting outside and watching the waves endlessly splash against the ledge rock, catching sunrises and sunsets, star gazing and if you are lucky we might even catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights (a favorite of many visitors). Terrace Point is the perfect place for artists, bird watchers, star gazers, nature lovers, and adventure seekers. Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway, a special place to escape the city, explore the Gunflint Trail, hike the Superior Hiking Trail, learn a new skill at the North House Folk School, downhill or cross country ski, experience the local music scene or shop "The Coolest Small Town in America" (Grand Marais).... this is truly the perfect place! We would love to share this special place with you.
Important - Please note:
-Terrace Point is an entire “Smoke-Free” property - there is no smoking allowed in the condo OR on the entire grounds.
- Our parking area does not have the space to accommodate trailers or campers.
- Please do not walk on the lakeside in front of other units. Use the back parking area if you’d like to access the shoreline.

A fabulous Grand Marais retreat
This property was absolutely perfect! Perched above Lake Superior with views of the lake and the starry night sky. Comfortable, cozy, welcoming! The hosts were very responsive and gracious.

Walked in and felt right at home. Very well appointed. We did explore the area and the Gunflint trail but we were just as happy out on the deck taking in the beautiful view. At night, fell asleep to the sound of the waves.

The view of the lake is phenomenal! We apent most of our time watching and listening to the lake. We warched the moon rise over the lake one evening and it was beautiful. We could see quite a few stars, even with a bright moon.

Amazing View
We had a wonderful time and if you are looking for an incredible view and relaxing time you don't have to look anywhere else. My husband and I stayed the weekend to celebrate our Anniversary and on our 5 hour drive home last night we were trying to plan visits this summer. We can't wait to go back. On Sat morning as we drank our coffee and watched the sun come up over the lake a beautiful Eagle came and landed on the tree off the deck. It was amazing and we also had wonderful communication with hosts, very accommodating to all your needs! Thank you for a wonderful experience!!

We were hoping to ski Lutsen, but with the cold temps, we wanted a special place that would make it worth the trip l, even if we didn't get out much. This place delivered. Owners are super friendly and helpful. It is meticulously organized and just plain beautiful. We hated to leave and hope to one day come back.

Another wonderful stay in this lovely property
This was our second stay in this beautifully designed property. The property offers an ideal location — close to Grand Marais but in a pristine, peaceful location. The Frank Lloyd Wright design with panoramic windows present the ideal way to start and end your day. We enjoyed stunning sunrises and moonrises. We were sad to end our stay and head back to reality. Highly recommend this property and the welcoming hosts who own it.

On the Shore of Lake Superior
We stayed here in November and just returned. The property is right on the shores of Lake Superior with 240-degree unobstructed views. Just beautiful. The unit itself was very comfy with a lovely gas fireplace and a relaxing jacuzzi bathtub. Can’t recommend this highly enough.

A much needed retreat!
My husband and I loved our stay at Terrace point! After a busy summer that included our daughter’s wedding, we were looking for some time together to connect and decompress. This was the perfect spot to do so! The unit is so well laid out with every detail that you need for a great stay. Comfy heated floors on our feet, beautiful deck and wonderful chairs to recline and read in while we listened to the waves on the rocks below. Secluded with beautiful views, yet close to Grand Marais, good restaurants and lots of hiking as well. We drove the Gunflint trail and even saw two bull moose! The North Shore is our go to spot for decompression. And we will definitely include Terrace point in our next stay!

Excellent place to stay
This is our second time staying at Pam and Charlie’s place. They are excellent hosts and respond quickly to any questions/concerns. The condo is very clean and has an awesome view of Lake Superior. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, utensils, coffee filters, etc. I highly recommend staying here!!

Great long weekend
My husband and I rented the upper unit, and our adult daughter had the adjoining lower unit with sauna. The proximity to the lake and deck views were remarkable. This was a nice set up for us-we were together yet she had her own private space downstairs. She invited us down for happy hour on her patio! Communication with owners easy and quick. Location near hiking and Grand Marais was perfect for us. Highly recommend!

Exquisite decor and view
This gorgeous property offers exquisite interior design and decor. As a corner unit with a lot of privacy and wrap around deck, the views of Lake Superior were spectacular. Everything in the unit was very clean and well stocked. It’s very easy to access downtown Grand Marais via a short drive or the bike trail. Cascade River, one of my personal favorite waterfall hikes, is also nearby. One watch out, which was entirely our fault, is the unit does not have AC. We missed this point in the listing, and normally with a September 5th check in, it would be a non-issue, but with global warming, the MN North Shore is getting warmer and staying warm later. There was record heat the day we checked in, and it was 80 degrees in the unit. There was a fan but limited number of windows that opened. Plus, this corner unit with panoramic views on two sides receives abundant sunshine (a major plus in most seasons I imagine). We contacted the property owners, and they were incredibly kind, concerned and responsive, and even offered to reimburse us for the fans we purchased, which was not necessary. A cold front came through that night and cooled everything down. So this is just a note for those who like AC in the summer months. Overall, we highly recommend this lovely, romantic property.

Wonderful Lakeside View
We stayed in the 11A condo. The view was amazing, and the property was clean, cute, and perfect for two. Communication with the host was warm and responsive. I highly recommend staying here. I will be back.
