« My kids and I stayed here for 2 nights and it was so amazing we immediately booked another stay for 2 months out! This house is EVERYTHING the listing states and MORE. « This house is everything and more! The surrounding area is perfect for hiking. The porches and fire pit are perfect for sitting and relaxing. It rained during our stay and I loved sitting on the upper porch watching it. It is absolutely as shown in the listing. I loved all the cute fall touches and I want a shower just like the one here. We will definitely be back!! Thank you for a relaxing weekend. »

« Super clean and very comfortable for the two of us. Easy to get to restaurants and very close to a humble, but great brew pub. A couple of other houses nearby but they are hidden by the woods so the house feels very private. The deck and the hot tub are fantastic. Super quick responses from the host. Overall, exactly what we were hoping to find. »

« We went for my Mom's 60th birthday. It is so peaceful and serene. The neighborhood is very quiet and set back in the woods, but it's a short trip to town and about 25 minutes from canoeing, tubing and kayaking (which I would highly recommend scheduling). The Property was clean and spacious. Certainly going on my list to come back again! »

« We enjoyed our stay very much at Retrievers Retreat! 2 senior adults and our very small dog, Bailey. Cabin is well kept and not too far into the woods although it is up on the mountain. Liked the condiments in the cabinets, coffee and powdered creamer, teas provided, although we did not use them. A nice wine fridge too! The bed we used on the main floor was very comfortable, and we liked the lighted mirror above the bathroom sink, shower has body wash, shampoo and conditioner in hanging bottles....

« This property is located about 4 miles down a country lane, with a lake near the mouth of the driveway. If you’re looking to escape society for a bit, this is the place. It rained during most of our trip, but the enclosed porch gave us plenty of space to read, play darts, and still enjoy nature. If you bring along your dog, they have beds and bowls for your use.This place had a cozy cabin feel …recommend! »

« This is a beautiful cabin that is very private but still just a short drive to Berkeley Springs . It was immaculate, very organized and the kitchen was well stocked with anything you would need. « We liked this cabin very much. The location is awesome. Really close to the town, shopping and dining, and at the same time you feel there like in the remote forest. The view is great, especially from the sunroom. There is enough outdoor furniture for a big family. If you have a big car or a truck it could be tricky to get to the driveway. But the parking space near the cabin is big enough for a couple cars and for turning around. »

« This is a beautiful property with amazing views and privacy. The house is very well equipped and the host is very responsive. We saw lots of deer, turkey, grouse, and lots of other birds. The view of storms rolling through we great and even had full view of a double rainbow in the valley. I also hiked over to Eagle Rock and enjoyed the spectacular view from there. The kitchen had most everything needed for cooking, baking, and grilling. If you’re going to cook a lot I would suggest...

« We were instantly in love with the Starling House upon our arrival. Everything was even cuter than the photos! It had everything we needed, was comfortable and stylish, and the views of the forest and skyline were phenomenal. The distance to downtown Berkeley Springs was perfect for visiting the Bathhouse and the local shops. We plan to return to this adorable vacation home. »
