Rocky Creek Escape by Tiny Away is a cozy tiny house in Glenwood, nestled in the foothills of the Bauple Mountains. This peaceful spot is part of Queensland's Fraser Coast, rich in history and culture. Only 30 minutes from Gympie and a short 35-minute drive to the ferry to K'gari (Fraser Island), it's perfect for those looking for unique holiday homes surrounded by nature.
A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home is nestled in a shady eucalypt forest, with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a queen-sized bed, a well-equipped kitchenette, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste-holding tank, hand basin, and gas-heated shower.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The property features dams, waterways, and farm animals. As a farm stay accommodation, we offer guests the chance to experience the peaceful countryside and the simplicity of living in nature.
Guest Access:
Guests can access the tiny home, including Rocky Creek and the forested areas. For safety reasons, access to the dam and farm is restricted.
Preorders are available with 24 hrs prior notice:
- The Breakfast Basket is $60 per couple, and the Lunch Hamper is $150 per couple. Menu options are provided before booking.
Amenities & Activities
- 10L bottles of Spring Water costs $20 per bottle
- Farm animal feeding is available at $15 per person
- Firewood costs $25 per bag plus $10 for kindling and matches
- Half-hour to two-hour relaxing massages are available from $60 for 30 mins

Rocky Creek Escape by Tiny Away is a peaceful nature retreat in Glenwood, near the Bauple Mountains—just 30 minutes from Gympie and 35 minutes from the K'gari (Fraser Island) ferry. Nearby, enjoy wild dolphin feeding at Tin Can Bay, explore gold rush history in Gympie, ride the Mary Valley Rattler steam train, or take a tour of K'gari’s Lake McKenzie and Maheno Shipwreck.
Getting Around:
By car:
- 30 mins drive to Gympie
- 30 mins drive to Maryborough
- 2 hours drive from and to Brisbane
By public transport:
- There is a local school bus service available in Glenwood. Please check bus schedule, travel time, and budget before booking. Although, we do recommend guests travel by private vehicle for easy access to nearby attractions.
Other Things to Note:
- Charcoal BBQ grill is available
- Pets are allowed on approval by the land host
- Exercise caution around dams and waterways
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- No smoking allowed inside the tiny home; only in designated areas
- Mobile reception is average for Telstra, while other networks have no signal
- We would like to advise guests that later check-outs will incur an extra charge
- Make sure to turn off the lights, AC, electronics, close windows and doors when leaving
- Pets are allowed by 24 hrs prior notice, and must be on leash at all times. The full policy will be sent before arrival.
Important note:
- BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- Due to the property's rural location, you may encounter inconveniences such as insects during your stay
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain our cassette toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
