The home was clean, comfortable, and just as described. We appreciated how tidy everything was. Unfortunately, the driveway hadn’t been plowed when we arrived, and we got stuck several times. We were told it would be taken care of after reaching out to the host, but no one ever came. Also, the lower level heat wasn’t working, making it quite cold downstairs. With better snow removal and the heating issue fixed, this would be a great rental.

My sisters and I stayed during a beautiful week in September. The house was perfect, other than some ants, but we’ve come to expect them in the middle of the woods, so no big deal. My family was the original builders and owners of this house, so it was just as we remembered it, along with some amazing new renovations. The Homestead, and more specifically, this house, holds a special place in our hearts! Thank you for allowing us to stay and relive some childhood memories. It was just as magical as we remembered.

Great location

We had a great stay! We had 2 families, 4 adults and 3 kids total. Plenty of room. No access to pools which is a bummer, but access to beaches and restaurants on the property. Great location.

Great getaway but needs more upkeep

Overall, we had a wonderful stay. Enjoyed the location and feeling of being in the middle of the woods. Would have been better with more comfortable furniture in the living room to read, relax and settle down with a movie. The kitchen and grill for breakfast and dinner were great, as well as the updated washer / dryer! Would have been nice to sit on the deck but the patio & furniture needed a good cleaning. Upon arrival we noticed the cleanliness was mediocre, dirty counters, sinks, plates and utensils. Very convenient location, close enough to go for a nice walk, drive into town, drive to a new beach daily and check out so many areas outside of glen arbor. We took plenty of beach trips but all of the beach chairs were not usable so had to purchase our own. Overall great house and location for a family on the go!

Beautiful views - surrounded by trees

Nestled just off the road surrounded by trees the living room has massive windows on each side to enjoy the view. Master bedroom suite upstairs with views looking down into the valley. The kitchen was adequately equipped for cooking and a nice grill to use.

The lodge was well-prepared for our stay including propane for the grill. We would book this house again and highly recommend it as a rental facility. No communication with the property manager was necessary.

Wonderful house perfect for weekend getaway with friends

We had a wonderful time staying at this house. It was one of the best VRBO experiences I have had. The check in experience was easy, and the hosts had very straightforward and easy to meet requests for check out. The bedrooms were comfortable with plenty of pillows and blankets. The living room was perfect for lounging around to read a book or chat with friends. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook food for two families with four adults and 5 kids. We hope to come back for a longer stay in the future!

We had a great time, overall. Accessible place. Roomy. Minor glitches: BBQ ran out of fuel and badly needed cleaning. Temperature hard to control with programmable thermostats. Could use some extra blankets in the bedrooms for cold weather.

Beautiful property and nicely maintained, but problems with heat. The only complaint is that many of the Nest thermostats went down to 55 degrees after two hours making it unbearably cold at times in a very cold January

This property was beautiful. It felt like we were in a tree house. Very clean, comfortable and convenient to many attractions. The beds were very comfortable as was the furniture. I would definitely recommend this place!!

Great Family Time Together

This house was perfect for our family of 7 adults and 2 children. The home was super clean and updated, the kitchen was complete with all the pots, pans and dishes, and any utensil we could have needed! The appliances were modern and very high end. All of the furnishings were very nice and newer. We would totally recommend this rental home.

Family Getaway

Property was lovely, and the perfect `home away from home'. Our arrival was seamless due to the thorough and prompt communication. House was in excellent condition and VERY clean. We enjoyed making meals together in the full amenities kitchen and relaxing in the evening following all the great outdoor activities in the area. The house has room to spread out and have your own space yet seating for everyone if you want to be together to watch Netflix, a movie, or eat a meal together. Wish we could have stayed longer!
