Fantastic, atmospheric and super fun hotel experience, really unique property with helpful staff and a great restaurant on the roof with absolutely delicious food. We had a perfect time and would love to return again on our next trip to Glasgow.

Can’t say enough good things about this boutique hotel and its staff. It is an as advertised experience in terms of the decadent feel it tries to convey. The common areas and bar were very cool, with very friendly staff. The rooftop bar is fantastic for drinks and good food, and a great view. Very cool vibe. The rooms were also as advertised; really good vibe. Will definitely will be back and can’t recommend enough.

We booked two nights and walked away from the second night, the cost of that second night and paid for a room at a different hotel for that second night. It was that bad! A horrible way to end our trip to Scotland. This hotel was supposed to be a 5 star splurge for us before leaving for home. Description of the room did not match any reasonable expectations of a 5 star hotel. The room was uncomfortably small (width of a bed and maybe twice as long with no place for our carry on luggage). There was no place to set any amenities in the bathroom. There was no place to sit except one stool. Otherwise while in the room we were shoulder to shoulder. The room was also uncomfortably hot. Also note that because we booked using a third party we did not receive the usual welcome or evening services.

Such a cool vibe inside! The rooms were so luxurious and we had our privacy. Staff members were so helpful and accommodating. Be mindful there is a homeless shelter just next door and when we arrived in the evening people were waiting lined up to the front of the hotel. No judgement. There was no issue and there was security, we were just a little surprised on arrival. Merely a heads up, don’t let it deter you from staying at House of Gods :)

The place was amazing! I booked a cabin room and it was so unique with all the dark wood. You are able to sign in to your own streaming services on the tv. I did add the breakfast once and it includes milk and (warmed) cookies brought to your room! Great location and EVERY member of staff was friendly and helpful. Would absolutely stay again!

What an amazing hotel. From the morning before arrival, I received a WhatsApp message from the hotel explaining the room and package details and that would be the way of contacting throughout my stay. The basic room is cosy, not much room but for the time spent in the room, it wasn’t much of an issue however when we return back to this amazing hotel, we will upgrade to a larger room but don’t let that put you off from booking the basic room. We had a cocktail tab part of the package and my wife enjoyed the chic cocktails provided up in the top floor ‘sacred garden’ while I stuck to the more basic Moscow Mules. Breakfast was great too, again enjoyed up in the top floor. Check out was easy with all staff throughout our stay being so helpful.

Lobbyn var nedsläckt och mörk, kraftigt parfymerat. Även begränsad belysning i trapphus. Gav ett väldigt konstigt intryck när man anlände. Förstår inte vitsen med att det ska vara så mörkt. Rummet var helt okey och takterrassen där de serverade mat och frukost var inglasad och ljus. Även om inredningen var speciell så skulle jag inte välja detta hotell igen.

I visited Glasgow for a congress and rooms were limited but thought the pictures looked ok although the name made me feel suspicious. I should have listened to my gut feeling because this hotel feels more like a brothel. When I got out the elevator there was a bucket in the middle of the hallway and sounds of hard porn were coming out the neighbors room. The bed was covered with pillows and duvet that was clearly not washed regularly. Never again.

Holy Moly - the House of Gods in Glasgow is more than a little taste of heaven. It’s a visual experience from stepping across the threshold into reception, to the opulence of the Presidential Suite (I was trying to impress my wife of 33 years; these things take time!). And then you cap it off, the Secret Garden Bar (a floral extravaganza on the fifth floor) is not only another sight to behold, but they serve a damn fine Maitai! The staff were engaged and helpful from the outset, which added professional substance to what would otherwise have been a trip through the looking glass with Alice (actually Sharon) to search for that elusive white rabbit. Just book it and see for yourself.

I think that this would be a great hotel for a weekend getaway if you happen to live somewhere in the UK or even Europe. I was quite jetlagged upon arrival (9am) after 24 hours in transit over several time zones. I had asked in advance if I could check in early. I did not receive a response. Check in was officially 3pm. Upon arrival, they suggested that for 20 pounds I could check in at 2pm instead of 3pm. I was able to leave my luggage but was absolutely exhausted and had to wander around Glasgow on zero sleep. By contrast, the next hotel I stayed at in Scotland let me check in at noon instead of 3pm with no extra charge and they were extremely friendly. I found the room quite small for having such a large suite case as I'm away for work for 10 days. Additionally, the atmosphere is cool but VERY dark. The room was too small to get any work done, and the lounge downstairs was way too dark to accomplish anything. Cool vibe if you are going for a fun weekend away or a romantic getaway. I would not recommend this for business or international travel.

This is the first negative review we have written in our current journey to France and the UK, comprising 15 separate hotel stays in 15 different communities. For Glasgow we chose House of Gods based on an AI recommendation. All 14 others recommended by AI were excellent or outstanding. House of Gods Glasgow was disappointing in most respects. Positives first: lots of hot water in shower; reception staff pleasant and trying their best in the circumstances. Negatives in the context of a c£500 bill for two nights: dark poorly ventilated hallway (1st floor), air conditioning in room not working (see below), cramped room, room not serviced after first day (we were told afterward this needs to be requested), and a struggle to have management understand our concerns. We were told that the air conditioning *was* in fact working, and tested at 18.5C at the vent. But either that was erroneous, or the volume of AC air coming into the room was inadequate. The room remained uncomfortably warm and humid. We appreciate the fan provided to us, and appreciate the manager’s willingness to hear our concerns and provide a partial refund. We transferred to a nearby Marriott where we had a large comfortable room, excellent AC, excellent housekeeping, and full breakfasts — all for a lesser cost than House of Gods. Again, our thanks to the manager for his response, but in its current condition we cannot recommend House of Gods Glasgow. Try the Marriott or another nearby hotel.

Absolutely wonderful experience! I loved it from the moment we walked in to the moment we love. Staff were amazing, decor was divine, very thoughtful design overall. My only complaint is that the room was extremely dusty, but that’s a very easy fix 😉
