Ce gîte spacieux, qui jouxte la propriété du propriétaire, est accessible par une entrée et un hall séparés et se situe dans le paisible village de Balfron. Situé sur un terrain très privé le long d'une ruelle calme, il offre une vue imprenable sur les collines de Campsie et de Fintry.
Situé à la lisière du premier parc national d’Écosse et avec le Loch Lomond et la majesté de Ben Lomond à proximit��, la région est d’une beauté époustouflante. Une grande variété d'activités de plein air sont proposées, notamment des promenades panoramiques pour tous les niveaux; golf avec un certain nombre de sites de première classe à distance de Voyage facile, et la pêche. Le Loch Lomond propose une large gamme de sports nautiques pour tous les âges, notamment la voile, le canoë-kayak et le ski nautique.
La ville historique de Stirling, avec son château, ses champs de bataille et ses monuments, se trouve à une demi-heure de route; Glasgow, la ville de la culture et du divertissement peut être atteint en une heure et Edimbourg en 90 minutes en voiture.
Il convient de noter que Balfron est un village bien desservi avec des magasins et des commodités locales, notamment un centre de santé, un cabinet de dentiste et une bibliothèque.

A welcome pack of fresh bread, butter, milk, shortbread, fruit and chocolates were very much appreciated. There were also little cases of flowers throughout which was really lovely. Capelrig is an idyllic holiday cottage which is located on the outskirts of Balfron and is not overlooked. Jeanette and David who live in part of the property are unobtrusive hosts but always helpful with advice if asked. The main feature of the cottage are the extensive beautiful gardens surrounding the property. Capelrig has its own private section of garden, ideal for relaxing when the weather is good. The interior of the property is thoughtfully furnished and spotlessly clean. The cottage is ideally situated for visiting the Trossachs area. All the main places of interest are well within one hours drive. There are numerous good restaurants in the local area along with a Coop store and newsagent / post office. This was the first time my wife and I have stayed in a cottage as opposed to a hotel on holiday.We weren't sure what to expect. The cottage was immaculate. It actually looked better on arrival than it did in the pictures on the website. Our hosts were fabulous. We were given total privacy but knew that if there was anything that we needed we simply had to ask. Our hosts had gone the extra mile to make our stay perfect. The cottage is in the perfect location for anyone who enjoys stunning views and easy access to Lochside walks. We would recommend this cottage to anyone and would definitely return. This is the BEST, cottage we have ever stayed in. Stayed there for a week, 1:6:19 - 8:6:19. So happy with our choice of cottage. It was cosy, comfortable and had everything we needed and more. First class bedding and towels. All the extras that Jeanette had provided were a lovely treat. The cottage was well maintained and lovely and clean.
