The Hollyhock Hideaway is the perfect place to experience the ultimate in year-round Colorado adventure. Located just 45 minutes west of Denver in the new Bighorn Crossing community, the Hollyhock Hideaway offers hiking, backcountry skiing, fishing, birdwatching, snowshoeing, art galleries, boutiques, fine dining, and walking tours of historic Georgetown. Breckenridge and Vail are less than a half hour away, or you can be enjoying all Denver has to offer in under an hour!

The Space:
A hideaway is only as good as its location, so that is why the Hollyhock Hideaway is especially unique. At over 8,500 feet above sea level and with over 300 days of sunshine a year, there is nothing like experiencing the wonder and glory of the great outdoors in the rarefied air of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Arapahoe Basin, Keystone, and the Loveland Ski area are all within 40 minutes of your doorstep. The Georgetown Loop railroad offers an unforgettable ride on a vintage steam train, as well as a tour of a silver mine. See wild animals, go birdwatching, or frolic among the wildflowers in the springtime. Whatever you do or wherever you go, it's important to have a great space to land and wind down.
From the moment you step into the great room of the Hollyhock Hideaway, you feel at peace. The warm, relaxing color scheme sets the tone for your stay. Super-cozy mid-mod furniture entices you to stop in your tracks and spend the rest of the day in repose. Talk, watch television, or just sit in silence and catch your breath. The kitchen at the Hollyhock Hideaway is a chef’s delight. Shiny, modern appliances are at your disposal, while a double-sink helps you keep everything clean. Tons of counter space allows you to prepare, serve, or both. A breakfast bar marries the living room and the kitchen and is perfect for meals or snacks.
The half bathroom on the first floor has a fantastic view.
Upstairs, the master bedroom offers comfort galore. The ultra-comfy king bed includes a cushioned headboard and extra pillows. The nightstands have lamps for nighttime reading while the dresser allows plenty of room for your belongings. Sunshine from massive windows, carpeted floors, and a ceiling fan join the space together.
The master bathroom combines a glass shower, his and her sinks, and counter space galore to create a luxurious, calm environment.
The second bedroom has a queen bed, dual nightstands, wall-to-wall carpet, and a ceiling fan. Flooded with Colorado sunshine, the room features positively themed art and radiates joyous energy.

This lovely town is glorious in summer, alive with bighorn sheep in fall, and festooned with holiday cheer in winter. And to top it all off, world-class skiing is just a short drive away!

Nearby highlights include Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, the Guanella Pass scenic byway and Bread Bar in Silver Plume. Looking for a challenge? You can bag two beginner-friendly 14ers – Mount Bierstadt and Grays Peak – during your stay. Rafting, fishing, mountain biking and kayaking are also popular activities in the region. Our neighborhood is currently experiencing the construction of a new hotel. While we do not anticipate significant inconvenience for our guests, we acknowledge that there are some aesthetic consequences that come with development in the area. We encourage you to explore the charming downtown district, take a stroll around the lake and take advantage of the many hikes and scenic drives around Georgetown.

The management company was very responsive and helpful when we needed a few things, which we really appreciated. The only downside was that the property wasn’t as well stocked or as clean as I would’ve hoped. It wasn’t terrible by any means, but it could’ve used a bit more attention to detail, particularly the lack of dishware and the condition of the upstairs carpet.

Low key getaway

Easy check in process and perfect size for our quick trip to CO. The kitchen has basic amenities for four people. The carpets are stained but that didn’t impact the quality of our stay. Overall the bathrooms and bedrooms were clean and stocked for our needs. Located close to the highway, which can be heard at night if the windows are open in the summer. Great location for visiting surrounding towns and summer activities.

This house was great for 4 people. We had a van that barely fits in garage so if you have a large SUV you will park outside. We were disappointed with the cleanliness and did message the property manager. Overall, liked the location.

Nice Place to Stay

We stayed here because this quaint little town was about halfway between Denver International and Breckenridge where we had plans. The place itself was cozy, however the area is unfinished and the driveway area was extremely muddy which transferred into the house. The doormats are small, carpeted and inadequate for the mud and gravel tracked in. We removed our shoes but we still tried to sweep a few times a day to keep up.The carpets were heavily stained, but the unit itself (bedding, fixtures, appliances) were all very clean.The kitchen had an adequate amount of plates and cooking utensils and pans for our group of 4. We even utilized some spices most likely left behind by previous guests which was nice, hate having to buy even simple things like salt and pepper. There is only one TV in the unit and it’s downstairs in the living room area, which only provides access to stream through your own accounts. We went to use the Roku provided and the remote didn’t work. Possibly a battery issue and the company offered to bring batteries but I told them it wasn’t necessary. We spent most of our downtime out back soaking in the gorgeous mountains overlooking the lake!There isn’t much to do around here during snowy season as the main attractions of Georgetown are shut down this time of year but we were close enough to surrounding areas to keep busy for our stay. We would stay again, hopefully the development will be finished by then!

Georgetown condo

This place worked great for our family ski trip. Spacious bedrooms and the garage was a huge benefit with the snow we received while there. The living room is not very large, and there aren’t many dishes in the kitchen. Aside from that, it was a great place.

Great property in a quaint town between Denver and Vail

We really enjoyed our time at the property and in Georgetown. Property was well equipped and clean. Only request would be to have patio furniture to take in all the beautiful lake views.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this location. Pros: -Great location. Easy to get around. We walked across the parking lot for two meals at the Brewery. -Clean overall -Enjoyed the hot tub access Not So Great: -kitchen supplies were very basic. It could use more dishes -floors need a deep clean -some of the furniture is not the most comfortable. We hiked on our trip and would have liked a little comfier couches/beds as we recovered. Overall, I would still recommend this stay.

Great Location. Nice little town. The place is new. There were a few cleanliness issues. They didn’t have all the kitchen utensils in fact it was pretty minimal, not even a spatula. There is construction around the place and hopefully it doesn’t block The view.

Beautiful Condo and Town

We stayed for a wedding in Georgetown. The condo itself was beautiful and clean. The kitchen was great, the bedrooms were comfortable and the check in process was easy. The only reason we didn’t make it 5 star was the outside of the condo. It has a beautiful view of a lake on the back porch but not a single chair or table outside. We were forced to sit on the steps to enjoy the patio. Same with the front porch area. The yard area was undeveloped as well. It was left in “construction grade” level. This didn’t detract too much due to the raw beauty of Georgetown. Overall, we would highly recommend this condo- just bring foldable chairs!

Great landing spot for skiing

The townhouse was quiet, clean, well-equipped, and just the right distance from Loveland Ski Area! There's a nice trail around the lake and a great view out both sides. And having the garage when it snowed on us twice was a huge help! (Our car was small, the garage may not fit a larger vehicle.) Beds were comfy and there were plenty of pillows (a big issue in our household!). The only two comments I have are that there were not many glasses or coffee mugs and the microwave kept tripping the breaker and cutting off. But the property manager was very responsive to all our concerns; we will stay here again!

This was all about location for us. We absolutely loved that the property was right on the lake!

We loved that it was new and a perfect location for our trip and what we had planned. Unfortunately, upon arrival we had to scrub the kitchen and clean door knobs, remotes ect before getting to settle in. The garage was great to have but filthy. The weeds overgrown and all though we loved steeping out to look outside at the beautiful lake and take in the views there weren’t any chairs provided to sit on. Smaller then expected…but super comfortable beds and great potential for the owners to rent with just a few tweaks!

Excellent location on Georgetown Lake, walkable to restaurants, coffee shop, etc. We enjoyed a concert at Red Rocks which is about a 40-45 minute drive. The townhome is in a new development and there is construction going on but other than dust and gravel, we weren't around much to notice it and when we were (early AM, evening) they were not working. The property was very clean and we found everything we needed. Our only suggestions were perhaps adding a few more glasses, coffee cups, some patio furniture or fold-up chairs to enjoy the views of the lake and mountains, and to add mattress toppers.

Loved my stay, the only drawback was the miscommunication. I couldn’t find the email with the check in details and no one contacted us back. I didn’t realize a hotel was on the property so it wasn’t gonna be an issue
