FITZGERALD'S COTTAGE 15 at Gearhart Beach: A quaint studio cottage located close to the beach in downtown Gearhart, this home has a king bed, a kitchenette for dining needs, and a sleek 3/4 bathroom.

A MESSAGE FROM OUR FAMILY: We are so thankful for your support during these trying times. As always, if the cities of Seaside, Gearhart, or Cannon Beach prohibits us from hosting guests, your trip will be covered for a 100% refund.

By booking in advance, you are supporting the thirty families that work within our company. We appreciate you and hope you’ll consider us for your business. We are going even more in depth with our cleaning program to ensure your comfort and peace of mind during your stay. This includes using an EPA certified disinfectant as our main surface cleaner throughout the home.

Seaside Vacation Homes has fifty of the cleanest and most highly maintained homes within a diversity of price points in our collection. The unit was fine, BUT this is not a cottage, it is half of a cottage with paper thin walls. The four people in the other unit we not particularly loud, however you could her every word of their conversation. They were up until about 12:30 AM, so we were also. I would never stay here again. Considering what I paid, I was extremely dissatisfied. The management company called me about my concerns, first thing in the morning. That was decent of them. They could not place me in a different unit and acknowledged that there was a sound problem. They gave me a small credit off any future stay. Shockingly, only one of the reviews on the VRBO site mentioned the noise. The one night we were there when no one was in the other side of the building was fine. One other odd thing, there is no kitchen sink, so if you use any dishes they have to be washed in the bathroom sink.

It was cute!

It was kind of hard to find the place. Needed to go down a block to access the parking area. But once found, it was very cute and clean. Loved waking up in a cute little garden cabin. :)

Gearhart flower garden

This property seemed to be in middle of a flower garden nursery. It was cute, but should have been a little more welcoming, no water or snacks, and only a microwave and small refrigerator. We stayed four nights, we were not planning on eating out every single night. When we arrived, the thermostat was not operable, so they gave us some space heaters to use, which was okay, but it advertised a gas stove to use, which we were not able to use. The ambiance of the stove would have been an added bonus, especially since it was rainy, windy and cold. On the flip side, the person I communicated with about this issue was super nice, which makes a huge difference.

Not Expected for price

It is in an actual nursery and since no one told us it was in the back of the nursery or that we had to enter the property from the back, it took us asking some people on the street to find out how we got to the studio. It was also not good for someone with difficulty walking to maneuver the loose gravel through the facility down to the entrance. It is not only two blocks from the beach (again not good for someone with a knee injury). There are severel things that needed to be fixed, like broken wall panels and an incorrectly installed shower fixture. Thought the hot water didn’t work, but found out on the morning after it was put in wrong. So had a cold shower. Also it could have been cleaner. Cobwebs and spiders and moths in corners of room that had obviously been eating breakfast, lunch and dinner for a while. Also could hear next door guest easily and had to have tv on to help muffle sound.. checked out in less than 24 hours and stayed elsewhere. Has planned to stay for three nights. Asked property manager or whoever returned my call for a nights refund and cleaning fee refund and was told to contact Vrbo. I tried to reach Vrbo and chat via direct message, got disconnected and no one called me back. Eat to book. Hard to get assistance.

Cottage paradise

Beautiful cottage nestled in a plant nursery. Perfect location away from hustle and bustle, close to the beach. This was a birthday trip for my wife and we enjoyed every minute. Thank you!
