Every Saturday morning, there is a huge market in a nearby town. It takes about 30min to cycle there. And of course, this morning I went again (after sleeping in...there is nothing better than knowing you have absolutely nothing to do...apart from resting and leave all worries behind for just a while).

I got some Veg, Fruit, Bread, cheese all for less than 10 Euros. Surprisingly, especially Veg & Fruits are cheaper than in the supermarket and of much better quality! Last week-end we also grabbed some delicious olives which we later enjoyed on the patio while sipping on a glass of wine.

I also love that I get to practice my French - immersing yourself is the best way to do it. And the French love it when you try to speak their language...;)

Housesitting has changed my life. It'll always be part of it - that's for sure. Imagine living like a local for a while for next to nothing...why do holidays, if you can do this?

There are many housesits around which do not require you to look after a pet. Although, i do love having pets around and can't wait for my next housesit with a furry friend!

I highly recommend trustedhousesitters.com but also found some really good housesits on housecarers.com. Just create a profile, and start your adventure...(and for those of you who have kids - there are LOADS of family-friendly housesits). It's a brilliant way to do a holiday cheaply.

And now...please excuse me...my cheese is waiting for me...
