Welcome to the “Zur Kranichweide” vacation rental, a cozy vacation home in a quiet, nature-filled setting in idyllic Bodstedt. With 70 m² of living space, the property accommodates up to 4 people and is ideal for families and vacationers traveling with a dog. A spacious, fully fenced-in lot with a view of the garden ensures relaxation and privacy. Its proximity to the Bodden, the Baltic Sea and numerous places of interest makes it the perfect base for a relaxing yet active holiday.



The Space:

The house features two bedrooms (one with a queen-size bed and one with two single beds), a bathroom with a bathtub, and an open dining area with a fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen offers everything you need for your stay, including a dishwasher, oven, microwave, and coffee maker. The living area, complete with a TV and internet access, is perfect for relaxing. A crib and a high chair are available for families. Windows create a bright, welcoming atmosphere, while insect screens and mosquito nets provide added comfort.



Important note regarding the floor plan: The bedrooms are located on the upper floor and are connected to one another by an external staircase only. Access therefore always involves a short walk in the fresh air.



Guest Access:

Guests have exclusive use of the entire house and the approximately 450 m² fenced-in property. A terrace with patio furniture invites you to relax outdoors. Free parking is available on-site. Bicycles can be stored safely in a lockable area.



The Neighborhood:

The accommodation is situated in a quiet village right by the water and not far from the Baltic Sea. The surrounding area is characterised by unspoilt nature, the idyllic Bodden landscape and traditional thatched-roof houses. Among the region’s absolute highlights are the spectacular sunsets over the Bodden – perhaps the most beautiful far and wide – as well as the impressive autumn crane migration, which passes directly over the house. You can experience traditional charm at the annual Zeesboot regatta on the Bodden, whilst towns such as Zingst and Prerow delight visitors with a varied cultural programme (a particular highlight in the photos: the annual summer fireworks display at the Zingst pier).



In the immediate vicinity, you’ll find restaurants, shopping facilities and a wide range of leisure activities such as water sports, horse riding and cycling. Other popular destinations include the artists’ village of Ahrenshoop, the town of Darß and the historic old town of Barth.



Getting Around:

The accommodation is easily accessible by car, and parking is available on site. There are also links to public transport – bus stops are located nearby.



A well-developed network of cycle paths invites you to explore the region actively. Via the Baltic Sea Coast Cycle Route, you can quickly reach the stunning, fine-sandy beaches on the Darß peninsula and in Zingst, as well as the unspoilt West Beach. Day trips to the Hanseatic cities of Rostock and Stralsund are also well worth a visit; both are less than an hour’s journey away.

For your convenience, we would like to point out that bed linen and towels are not provided in this apartment. You are welcome to bring your own, or you can simply book them via our online service up to 5 days before arrival. This also applies to bringing dogs (maximum of 2, subject to a charge), which must be registered via the online service.
