Great property. Spacious room with everything you needed. Lovely bedding and linen. Lots of nice little touches. Quiet location yet close to everthing. Gracious friendly hosts. One of the best B&B brekfaats we've had.

What a lovely place! The room was beautiful, big, clean and inviting. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful and the hosts were friendly and helpful. We will definitely return when we next visit this area.

We were given a warm welcome. Everything you need for you stay has been thought of and the breakfast was freshly cooked with plenty of choice.

What a lovely place, in a lovely area, the room was beautiful, clean and spacious. Breakfast was superb and the owners are very friendly. Highly recommend. Will definitely be back.

This B&B is in a very good location for the beach and the town. The proprietors are very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was excellent.

We enjoyed oue recent stay at the Old Surgery - the hotel was spotlessly clean throughout, with well appointed and comfortable accommodation. The staff very helpfull and approachable.. plus their dog gave us a warm welcome. The Old Surgery is also very well appointed for Connaught Road featuring numerous restaurants, cafeterias, plus a pub, gift and book shops. The beach is also very nearby.

The property was near but not right on the sea front. It was big and spacious. Our room was large, light and beautifully decorated. The bed was very comfortable, though getting the bedding right was a little tricky, particularly the pillows - one wasn't enough, two was too much! And there were perhaps too many decorative cushions! Two sitting chairs, a coffee table, fresh milk in a thermos and drinking water in a stoppered bottle were lovely touches. For such a large room and bathroom, the corner shower cubicle was too small. The hosts were very helpful and accommodating. Very friendly. I was given access to the bath as I needed to soak a sore knee and hip after a long day walking, even though the bath was technically assigned to a different room. Unfortunately, the second morning, not all the breakfast options had been brought out from the kitchen and I had to ask for certain items which had been available the previous morning. Also, I noticed that although we sat at exactly the same places at the breakfast tables, overnight, short dark hairs had made their way onto the tablecloth. Both I and my partner are blonde-going-silver and not short haired.

Lovely B&B but note - CASH ONLY ACCEPTED

I was here for 1 night, lovely house, clean, comfortable and furnished beautifully. Very close to Frinton sea front and high street. Please note that 'private bathroom' means it is across the landing from the room, no lock on the outside. My stay was really spoilt by being told at CHECK-OUT that they only accept cash payments, Hotels.com didn't mention this nor did the owners. I had given Hotels.com my bank details when booking. If I had known I would have made sure I had sufficient cash with me, as I didn't, this meant I had to make a trip to the bank before I could leave. The owners were well aware of this problem with online bookings but didn't think to warn me before hand. Bad show which was embarrassing and left a bad feeling.

A nostalgic visit to Frinton

A great welcome by the lovely lady owner. The b&b is of the highest standard of decoration and presentation in every detail. Breakfast was excellent. We booked a room with a private bathroom. The bathroom was fabulous but meant crossing a small landing to get to it. Not so convenient if you need to get up in the night. We chose the room so it's no reflection on this excellent b&b.

Perfect

We spent a couple of very comfortable nights here with tasty breakfasts and welcoming service. We explored the local area visiting National Trust properties. Frinton on Sea is a lovely unspoilt town with very friendly locals.

Nice BnB close to the beach

The room felt more like a 5 star hotel than a BnB. The hosts were very pleasant and gave us a good amount of space. Very friendly and they obviously work hard to make it a good experience for guests.

Comfortable B&B

Nice building and area and friendly landlords. Great breakfast but is an extra cost. Quite expensive for a B&B without en-suite (own bathroom across hall) at a seaside resort in January.

Just three blocks to shops and eats.

Small town atmosphere. No cable TV just antenna which can make reception iffy. Breakfast cooked to order. Be careful crossing streets, they drive on the other side of the road than USA. Nice passenger railway rides to other towns if you are adventurous.Can't buy tickets on train, see station ticket clerk or automated machine, you may have to ask someone how it works.
