This is the Cottage on Cedar Street:
The Cottage on Cedar Street is a cozy wood-sided house in a beach town (near the beach!). A small home loaded with coastal charm. A dwelling meant exclusively for guests (that's you!). Cozy comfort is an essential feature. Open floor plan, functions very efficiently; tis bright, cozy and welcoming! Every detail has been meticulously planned with you, our guest, in mind. The interior of the cottage was completely refurbished in 2022 and 2023, while the exterior was painted a gorgeous light blue with a touch of lavender in a nod to our lavender fields on the island.

NOTE: We love animals, and we get that guests want to include their fur babies in their vacation plans. If you intend to include pets while visiting the island, please select a pet-friendly property that is appropriate for your needs. To ensure an allergen-free environment for all guests, we enforce a strict policy prohibiting pets. If evidence of an unauthorized animal is discovered, a $500 fee will be charged to guests. Reflect. Native American Tribes and First Nations of Canada have lived in and stewarded the San Juan Islands as part of their ancestral territory since time immemorial. Coast Salish people in the Islands tended and harvested shellfish, salmon, crab, and other species from the Sea, camas in the prairies, berries along streams and in forests, and other flora and fauna for food and traditional uses. These ancestral lands and waters are still utilized today, and are protected under inherent, ancestral, and tribal treaty rights.

We stayed 4 nights, and had a wonderful time. The house is walking distance to downtown and ferry, with abundance of restaurants, grocery stores and coffee places. We were 3 adults, the bedrooms are located on the lower floor and living area/kitchen on the second floor. Very spacious, beautifully decorated, the kitchen is spacious, ample counter space. Coffee and tea is provided along with a pantry stocked nicely to cook. The owner even provided sleepers which was such a nice touch. The bathroom/shower is amply stocked with nice items.Pretty outdoor area to relax and enjoy, a bike rack, and an EV charger.My only minor complaint is that the mattress of the bed in the left bedroom, is soft and bouncy. Other than that we really enjoyed the home, and the communication with the owner was easy.

We were in town for a wedding and loved our stay here. The home is in a perfect location and has a beautiful view of the sea. It has luxurious linens, comfy beds, and a well-appointed kitchen. It was meticulously cleaned, and we would absolutely stay again!

We very much enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. The checkin process was simple and communicated well in advance. The home itself is absolutely lovely, with thoughtful touches throughout. The upstairs deck provides great views and was our favorite breakfast spot. The kitchen was well appointed and just as nice as the pictures show. The two bedrooms were very comfortable, and the bathroom was modern and well stocked with toiletry supplies if needed. The property itself is spacious and private. It’s a bit far from downtown Friday Harbor (still walkable, I think), but we had our own car and this was a perfect home base for us to explore San Juan Island. We would love to stay again if we visit the San Juans in the future.

This property is beautiful and comfortable. Every detail and more has been thought of and provided for guests. We loved sitting on the deck and enjoying the water view. The kitchen is amazing and well stocked. The recommendations for dining and whale watching provided by the owner were terrific. Owner responds very quickly to all messages. The four of us agreed, this is an all thumbs up place to enjoy San Juan Island.

This house exudes charm, thoughtfulness, and obvious pride and love. It was immaculate and supplied with everything we could have wanted. We especially enjoyed and appreciated the attention to detail. The beds were comfortable and furnished with lovely linens. Sitting on the upper deck gave us a lovely view of the bay. It is located just a little ways outside the downtown area, and was a perfect distance for us to walk back and forth to the center of town. The property manager/owner was very gracious and helpful. We highly recommend this home and would return for another vacation.

This home was the full package, the pictures are stunning but somehow the property is even better in person. We loved the big porch, the spa-like bathroom and the well-appointed spacious kitchen. The location is very convenient to town but still feels private thanks to landscaping and fencing. We'd recommend this home to anyone!

We love visiting San Juan Island. This was a great location for quick trips into town and a quiet jumping off point to get to all our favorite junked and shoreline adventures. The house is beyond immaculate. So clean and tasteful. We enjoyed every minute.

They made our stay absolutely fantastic. The high level of detail and communication was greatly appreciated and the best we have ever had. I would recommend this amazing location to everyone. This was a fantastic VRBO rental experience ! The house was in unbelievable condition with EVERY imaginable item you would want supplied; everything was in spectacular condition and arranged in an organized fashion. The attention to detail was extraordinary and nuanced. The house was immaculate.....their cleaning service was the absolute best we have ever experienced. Location was perfect: within a 5 minute drive of "downtown" Friday Harbor where there are many restaurants, shops, and complete grocery shopping. The owner was exceptional....very professional/friendly and communicated well. This was the best rental experience we have had in many years of traveling. Thank you Barbara ! The house has been remodeled with great taste. It is nothing short of perfection. And the owner has anticipated just about any need a guest could have or dream up. The kitchen is complete, down to the pound of local coffee. The house is in a quiet location. The proximity to the town's excellent restaurants and the ferry terminal is a decided plus.

4 women stayed for 3 nights and toured the island. It is a short walk to downtown Friday Harbor, bike rentals and restaurants. If you are sensitive to traffic it was a little noisy when sitting outside but we didn’t notice it at all in side. Not a problem! My only suggestion would be if you like games, bring your own

The cottage on Cedar Street was the perfect location for our two night stay. We were four adults and found the set up (two bedrooms downstairs, shared large bathroom downstairs and powder room upstairs) to be spacious and comfortable. Everything was clean, well appointed (the local coffee was much. appreciated!), clear communication with host, and great location close to town. We’d definitely stay again!

We had one of our most memorable experiences while staying at Barbara's beautiful home. The home itself is spotless, well-designed, and loaded with amenities. It is convenient to everything but quiet and private. Highest recommendation!!!

We loved our time at this place! So much natural light and everything was really nice as the pictures show. The location is perfect with how centrally located it is. There is some traffic noise when sitting on the deck due to being extremely close to a fairly busy road, but that didn't bother us much. We would absolutely love to stay in this place again.

Well equipped cottage to relax and enjoy the island life. We appreciated the attention to detail from the coffee from the local roaster to the calm seascape decor to the level 2 electric car charger. It was the perfect place to call home for 3 days.
