Welcome to Nemadji Lodge, a stunning timber frame home that is nestled on a tranquil 40 acres. You will love hiking the two miles of private trails & wilderness right out your back door. Perfect for snow shoeing or cross country skiing or a romantic walk. And to top off the perfect night with a bottle of wine and soothing Sauna. Or head to the 30x40 heated party garage with Large screen tv, Leather sectional couch with darts, ping pong, bean bags, hoops and more.
Our covered porch is another great place to gather with large firepit just off the deck. It's not uncommon to find deer in the front yard with numerous birds chirping. Your guest will love being right on the ATV/Snowmobile trails right outside your door. No more trailering your atvs! with access to 90,000+ acres of trails.
The Nemadji Lodge features 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms on three levels with nearly 2600 sq ft to roam. Each level features its own living room space with large smart tv, bedroom & bathroom with shower, perfect for multiple families to gather and spend quality time together.
SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS:
1st bedroom: King bed (main floor)
2nd bedroom: King bed, Owner suite (Upper level)
3rd bedroom: Two queen beds (Lower level)
Loft: Futon ( Upper Level)
The main floor bedroom is perfect for those who cannot handle a lot of stairs. Only two steps up the porch and then everything thing they need is on the main floor. There is a nice 3/4 bath adjacent to the main floor bedroom and they can easily walk to the living room, kitchen, dining room, rear porch and front porch.

BATHROOMS:
Each bathroom has a hair dryer, make up removal clothes and a 5x magnification mirrors.
1st bathroom: 3/4 main bath (main floor)
2nd bathroom: Luxury with rain shower/ large soaking tub. (Upper level)
3rd bathroom: 3/4 bath (lower level)

SAUNA:
Be our guest and take away your stress in our state of the art private Dry sauna with forest views.
GAME ROOM:
This seems to be the place where everyone hangs out!
Relax and have some fun in our 30x40 game room with 1200 square feet for your guest to have fun. We have indoor cornhole, Ping Pong, Foosball, Hoops, Giant Jianga, Darts and Board games. Hang out on the Huge leather sectional couch and Stream your favorite sports teams on our 65" Large screen smart TV. This a great place to escape the heat. We have a refrigerator, large rolling table for your crock pots, microwave, pizza oven etc!

NATURE:
We have everything up here, Deer, Bear, Wolves, Elk, Moose, Mountain Lions, Bobcat, Grouse etc!

Snowmobilers/ATV/UTV folks We are on the Polaris app! Check us out! We are located on a
Atv/Snowmobile friendly road with only 3 miles to the Nemadji State forest with 90,000 acres of trails of all different skill level. As well as the Gandy Dancers trail.

The Gandy Dancer connects just north of to the Saunders State trail with then connect to the Wild rivers trail, Hundreds of miles of trails to ride.

Property is very quiet and peaceful, Excellent communication with the host, everything is easy to find and use. Lots of space to roam. Trails were fantastic especially with the fall colors. Beautiful home!

We enjoyed everything about the cabin! Spacious enough for two families. Loved having the big table that we could all eat at together. Very clean and well stocked. Loved the master suite! Bed super comfortable and all the updates are lovely! The girls loved hanging out in the game room. So fun to be able to play indoor cornhole, etc. It was a bit too chilly to eat outside, but the screened porch very nice also. Perfect location for lots of trails for hiking and/or snowmobiling and not far from the North Shore. We lucked out with some of the most stunning fall colors during our visit! Greg, the owner, is super responsive and gracious! He really has thought of everything to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. Would highly recommend and we hope to visit again!!

Pictures do absolutely no justice for this place. There’s no words that can truly describe how beautiful the home was and how wonderful our day was. We were able to see deer and turkeys on the property! There was so much space in the home and prefect landscaping! We hung out a lot in the party room and played games all day and all night! I loved that the porch was screened in to keep you away from the bugs but you could also enjoy the beautiful night life. The home is truly amazing and the host is fantastic. Any questions we had he was quick to respond and help right away. 10/10 recommend this place for a family trip or even a trip for adults as we did! It’s extremely comparable for almost any occasion! My family and I will be coming back for sure!

The location was a bit hard to find and was further from Duluth than I would’ve liked, but the checking in process was very easy. Recommend only using one shower at a time as the lower floors will run cold (we learned the hard way). I honestly enjoyed this place a lot more than I thought I would. I planned to rate this 5 stars until the host started accusing us of “trashing” his place and so forth. He was extremely hostile and came with so much animosity. We left the place spotless. Did ABOVE AND BEYOND what would be expected from any guests who are on a relaxing getaway. We cleaned, did all the dishes, vacuumed, laundered the towels we used, and took the trash to the curb as requested. The host accused us of “hiding” scratches with a chess board on the office desk when the chess board was taken elsewhere to be used and returned to the same spot it was previously in. I mean of course I cannot say we absolutely didn’t leave one or two scratches here and there but that is normal when you let others use things, they will not be returned to you unused. But “trashed”, that is very harsh. If you stay here I can only recommend that you: one get the insurance and two take detailed photos of every nook and cranny of the place even before you step foot inside. Like I said, it would have been 5 stars if the host was kinder. I understand him being upset if his property wasn’t left in great condition, but we honestly left it in pretty good shape, if not GREAT shape. We feel pretty icky.

Well-Equipped With a Game Space for the Whole Family

Our family had an absolutely fantastic time at this property! We loved exploring the well-groomed trails, which were perfect for adventure, and the game space was a hit with everyone—there was something for all ages to enjoy. The layout of the house was ideal, allowing us to find private space to unwind or gather together for laughter and bonding. Plus, it was fully stocked with everything we could possibly need. It truly felt like a home away from home!

Each bedroom is on a different level, giving it gloriously plenty of private space for 3 generations of our family! The screened-in porch was tested in sunny and rainy conditions and found to be perfectly comfortable. The only thing we heard were the woodpeckers, owls, and a few deer while at this property. The only bad part was having to leave this peaceful retreat.

The house was absolutely gorgeous. Immaculately maintained. It worked out perfect for our group to stay at while in the area to run the Grandma’s Marathon in Duluth, MN. We should have stayed a day or two longer to take advantage of everything this location had to offer.

We stayed at the lodge for our wedding. It was a perfect getaway. The property was incredible. The location was peaceful and full of natures. Family and friends had fun enjoying the properties many amenities, including the sauna and game room. The lodge was clean, spacious and relaxing. The property allowed for plenty of room for our 10 person gathering. Greg was very easy to contact and provided lots of info for us about the property. Unfortunately we had to leave early for an issue which was no one’s fault and Greg took care of everything. We would definitely stay at this piece of paradise again.

Great Stay

Great home to stay in. Great communication by the owner. Clean, beautiful space. Game room was amazing - lots of board games, basketball, ping pong and indoor bean bags. we loved it. Highly recommend it!

Family Getaway

We looked into staying at a VRBO after the cost of staying in Duluth was so costly. We booked for a family wedding but then turned it also in to a side x side trip. 13 of us spent the day riding the trails of the Nemadji forest. When asking the family what was the Best part of the trip they all said. “The Lodge” we came from 7 different houses ad all have busy schedules. Was nice to plan meals together and sit down and enjoy as a family. We all were together coming up to the Vikings football game and various other shows. Less time was spent on phones and more time spent being together and enjoying each other. Beautiful home with every cooking gadget. The game room was used one night during our stay and enjoyed by all. Never had a chance to use the high end Sauna. We will definitely be back

This was a stunning home on gorgeous property. The amenities were exceptional and we always felt there was something to keep us entertained! Greg was an excellent host and was personable and easy to work with. He had clear instructions regarding the expected care of the rental which made for a smooth a relaxed stay. The beautiful drive was well worth being 45 minutes from Duluth. We will undoubtedly be returning to this property!

Beautiful setting and home!

My parents and brother travelled with me to the area for a family wedding. Greg was kind and accommodating from the time of reserving the house. I had trouble finding a place in the area with accessibility and Greg was prompt in answering that it would be, and it was—just three steps up onto the front porch and my parents, each with mobility issues, were very content. We enjoyed the quiet serenity of the setting and the house was modern with forest/rustic flair. We also enjoyed the sauna with windows looking out into the woods. It was a lovely place to stay!

Nice property but odd set up

The house and property were very nice and clean. However, the host is particularly inflexible. Has a litany of rules and associated fees that made us feel like we needed to tiptoe around, not to mention several closely monitored cameras on the property and what is maybe a separate private residence within viewing distance not mentioned in the description. I understand he's trying to protect his house but it does feel excessive. For a steep price, I would have preferred more flexibility.

Fun weekend after the 4th

We all really loved this beautiful timber home in the woods. It was a great place to enjoy as a family. The bugs were pretty bad but as to be expected with the rain. Very comfortable and spacious house. Was pretty warm though with No AC. We had fans and lots of open windows for a breeze. Would definitely stay again in cooler months. Would love to see this place in the winter! Thanks for a beautiful home!
