« This sweet cozy cottage was wonderful! The place was clean and had all of the amenities we needed. The house is located in the woods but was not too far from the town of Eureka. We loved seeing the banana slugs in the garden. The host communicated all through our stay. Thank you! »

« My family came to Arcata to help my daughter move into the university there. What a great place. We’ve stayed in hotels and other rentals before but we liked it here the best. Very relaxing, clean and up to date. The soaking tub was really nice! And the outdoor shower was fantastic. Loved the garden. Kitchen was great, had everything we needed, and the TV was smart so we could stream Hulu and max. A great stay - we will be back! »

« Our-of-the-way and right on golf course. Very quiet (except for mowing of greens). We had 18 people at maximum occupancy, with beds for almost everyone, and even then, the place didn't seem crowded. We all fit around inside table and outside table, at fire pit (and near grill), for much reminiscing (this was a memorial trip). Three bathrooms, thankfully, not two, and they are well-appointed; true, we had to make a TP run (and also to get coffee filters), but otherwise the place was well-stocked....

« Stayed here for a week in the summer with the family. Location is pretty good. Quiet little street with a partial view of the bay. House is nice, clean and functional. Short drive to old town Eureka and Arcata where the fun/interesting stuff is. Great hub to visit surrounding redwoods, lagoons, nature around here. Very convenient to the zoo/sky walk which the kids loved. »

« Overall property was great. Just 2 things to mention- the dishwasher was not emptied but we just treated it like a cupboard. The master shower head is broken so if you don’t have it straight, water spurts out the top all over the bathroom. We left it straight to see the issue you’ll need to angle it down. »

« Great location with easy walk to the charming main street of Ferndale. Such a wonderful home for a family stay! Fully equipped with anything and everything you would need for your visit. Great spaces for relaxation, conversation, cooking meals together....I could go on and on about this property. The downstairs ensuite bathroom was incredible and so tastefully done as was the rest of the home. The size of the kitchen and it's workspace was unreal....this place will make you wish you didn't...

« Very clean and comfortable! Close to campus and Arcata plaza. Beautiful setting with lush forest—felt like being in a treehouse! The only difficulty was entering the lock code on the front door—it was 10 digits long and had to be entered within 10 seconds! It took several tries but we got better at it. Would definitely stay here again! »

« Everyone had plenty of space to spread out (4 adults, 2 teenagers) which was really nice after a long day in the car and/or on the trails. Landscaping made the house feel private. Our giant Ford Expedition fit and could maneuver comfortably in the driveway. Host provided local recommendations which were really helpful, and was responsive for any questions. « Our family enjoyed this house & the ocean views. The house is newly remodeled & has nice and comfortable furniture. The house was supplied with everything we needed. « We enjoyed every minute of our stay at the farm on top of a hill. The view is unforgettable. The horse next door is friendly too. Very stylish and new. Comfortable beds. Every detail was well thought out from the kitchen organization to the stocked coffee area. This was home base for everything Humboldt could offer, including beaches, redwoods, and good Pizza in Eureka. We will be back for sure! »

« I liked it a lot. No complaints really. It's beautiful. The house was clean and very close to the beach and Gils Restaurant. The only complaint was that we could not watch TV much in the evenings because the connection was not the best. Every time we watched a movie, it would lose connectivity, and we never did get see a whole movie. But other than that, we had a fabulous time. »
