Excellent Condo!

Very spacious condo with excellent views from the rooftop. Beds were very comfortable in all three bedrooms. Condo was equipped with everything you need. The hot tub on the roof was our favorite part of the condo. Would definitely recommend this for your stay.

'Been coming to Fort Walton Beach for years... It's home to the AC-130 SPECTRE Reunion -- and is now our annual family vacation spot! We've stayed in various properties in both FWB and Destin; but now prefer Destin West Beach and Bay Resort. This particular condo was great -- we will be back!

Family Vacation

We had a wonderful vacation and this was the perfect place to stay for our family. The owner was attentive to our requests and timely with his responses. We had ample space for six adults and two children. We had all the amenities we needed to eat at the condo but were close enough to great restaurants when we wanted to go out. We were close to the beach, had ample parking, and the unit was clean. We couldn’t have asked for anything more!

Amazing Family Vacation

Wow! What an amazing condo! Best views of Destin West by far. We enjoyed watching dolphins in the bay from the roof and balcony almost every day! Going out on the dock in the evenings were definitely a highlight of the trip- there’s so many different things and sea life to see. Weather was gorgeous, condo was very comfortable and spacious for our large family. There was plenty of room for everyone. We were bummed because we forgot to bring binoculars, but found a pair there for us to use- so thoughtful! Thank you so much for a vacation we will never forget! We will be back for sure.

Beautiful Penthouse

The property was very clean. Beautiful location, beautiful views. Amenities at the resort. Excellent food and entertainment suggestions. Some of the best places we had to eat were because of that. Louisiana ligonape and parlor donuts are must visits. Rick's is nice and close and has good pizza/cheese bread as well.. Only suggestions are to find a way to add beach towels, laundry detergent, dish washer, tabs, and trash bags to make it a little easier for people that fly to and from this vacation rental.

Major disappointment…

I read so many reviews trying to find the best place to stay. They claim they have 150 five star ratings. I have no idea how this was possible. The master bed was as hard as a rock. My husband had to sleep on the couch because it was so bad. I just toughed it out. The rules say no sand in the condo but there was sand all over the master bathroom and closet from the wagon and chairs. Those items were nice to have on beach days. We worked very hard to clean the sand from the place. There also was kitchen handles that had sticky food all over them. I contacted Costal vibes and they came right out to fix the cleaning issues. The girl on the phone was very nice. She really cared about fixing our problem herself. I highly admire this attempt. The view is amazing! The kids did love the pools and fishing in the bay. We could not figure out how to get to the beach from our condo. I think some sort of map would be nice. I would also recommend check in information being sent via vrbo versus email. We didn’t get a first email til I kept contacting them bc I didn’t have the info. They were quick to try resend them but we were waiting outside our condo. Thankfully the nice cleaning ladies let us in. The dishwasher didn’t work well at all. Dishes that were ran before us were still dirty and ours were the same afterwards. We definitely left the place better than we got it. Paid a lot of money to be disappointed. We still tried to make the best of a bad situation.

Our Favorite Resort and the Best Views

Destin West is our favorite place to stay on the Gulf Coast. This unit was just as lovely as pictured and was roomier than expected. The wrap-around deck was a wonderful place to watch the storms. It did rain every day while we were visiting, but we were able to time the pool visits and beach time accordingly. Also note, there is a pool for just the Osprey guests that is bayside and near the parking garage. Speaking of garage, there is an entrance to the pool under the Osprey building near the back of the garage, towards the bay. To the left, you can walk around to the lazy River or to the right is the Osprey pool. Keep in mind, this building is the farthest from the walkway leading to the beach, but was not too far in my opinion. We actually enjoy the pools more anyway. We love overlooking the pools, especially at night, and the hot tub on the roof was a bonus! This unit has the best view of the bay and pools that we’ve ever had at Destin West. The large rooftop area gives a view all around. Plenty of outdoor seating on roof and on the deck. Beautiful decor and the rental team was so easy to work with.
