We read reviews that were not very good. Because of the location and the close approximation to the beach, we reached out to inquire about the concerns in previous reviews. We were assured that they were under new management and that all issues had been addressed and taken care of. We booked hesitantly. Location was good. The issues we had:-Long black hairs in the tub-The tub is very old and had rust on the base of the outside and the inside of the tub was discolored to where it looked like dirt.-There was a hole in the hallway hall where there was once a outlet...we think-walls and baseboards damaged-The tv would not connect to the wifi no matter how many times we attempted to use the information provided. While they did offer to come over and set it up for us, it was always hours after we had sent a message for help. And yes, we spent most of our time outside but wanted to watch the Olympics when we settled down for the night.-the stove was not working and they had provide a hot plate. They said that the gas was off to the entire buliding but failed to let us know in advance that we would need to plan on cooking on a 2burner hotplate. -The tile is damaged significantly under the rug in the living room (rug was the attempt to cover that)-while the listing noted parking was available, it was only when we received our check-in details that they share there was only 1 parking space available and our other car would have to pay the hourly parking rate (for 3 days!)

When we arrived the house was obviously not cleaned, and the power was completely shut off. The beds weren’t made, dishes still in the sink, dirty washcloths in the shower, trash in the trash cans. When I attempted to communicate with the host, I received no response, I essentially had to force the host to respond by contacting VRBO customer support. We ended up having to pay for an hotel on the first night. When we came back, we could see that, instead of washing the sheets, the “housekeeper” who was just a friend of the host, had just remade the beds with the same dirty sheets. We tried to wash them using the washer/dryer combo in the unit but it didn’t even work, leaving only one option which was to go buy new sheets. Speaking of sheets, the master bed is broken in the middle. Overall, the place was just grimy. We could tell that the rug had never been vacuumed once, not to mention the hole in the floor that it was covering, and on top of all that, the stove does not work at all. Additionally, the outside doorknob on the back door didn’t work, which meant leaving the door cracked open every time we went outside. Lastly, there were a lot of bugs in the unit, if one single crumb was dropped, it would be completely swarmed with sand fleas. We saw one of the largest cockroaches i’ve ever seen, luckily we bought a can of Raid to take care of it. The only good parts of the house were the roof over our heads and the cold air conditioner. It was cheap but not cheap enough.

Excelent location

The house is very well located, just a few steps from the beach. The view from the patio is incredible, and everything is very peaceful. It just needs a little updating.Good price-quality ratio

Disappointed

Great value online. When we got there, the unit was not dirty but there was rust by the tub, the indoor doorknob fell out. Listing said towels provided but didn’t have any (not even rugs for the bathroom) Horrible communication with the host. They never responded once we checked in. Our one reserved parking was occupied by another rental. Unit is by the beach but crossing it without a cross walk was risky. Definitely disappointed by our stay here.

This place is a nightmare. The actual property is gross and run down. Hole in the floor that’s covered by a rug, so my wife tripped and almost fell. Mold in the ceiling in the bathroom that’s been painted over, also a hole in the bathroom ceiling that is dripping into the sink. The primary bedroom bed is broken and dips into the middle, other beds were covered in sand. No parking was left available so had to park across the street at 50 a day. We ended up leaving early because the place was too gross to stay in and we were concerned about the mold. Notified the host but they still have not responded and it’s been over a week. Still fighting w VRBO for our refund. Skip this one.

Great location, great view!

We stayed one night and it was good for that. Perfect location to walk to beach and all the fun things on the board walk. The place could use minor updates such as paint, new bathtub, new ceiling fans, all minor stuff. Will stay again.

All abou the Boardwalk

The place is nice. Perfectly fit 7 adults. The property consists of 3 or 4 units but it felt fairly private and well separated. There is a porch with a dock at rear which we didn't get to use. Be aware that they have boat rentals so you may see people walking to that deck to access the boat(s). Best part was the proximity to the beach boardwalk across the street and 1 block in. It was so relaxing and had a nice vibe at night. Good clean quiet place to stay.

Good

Property was as advertised. Only stayed one night and it was perfect for a stay before cruise. Shared backyard got a little noisy. No extra sheets/pillows for futons but we made do.
