It shares a front deck with “Eagle Cottage Room”, but has its own dedicated patio table. A fire pit is directly behind the cottage for guest use. 4 guests maximum.

Manitou Lodge is perfectly situated in Forks, Washington. Our accommodations provide guest rooms, cabins and camping on ten acres of coastal rainforest, just 3 miles from Rialto Beach, and 15 minutes west of Forks. Manitou is what a lodge should be – wood, stone, a Great Room with a massive stone fireplace, vaulted ceilings, and furniture you can put your feet up on. Nights in our forest are silent except for the distant rush of the Sol Duc river and occasional interruptions by coyotes and owls.
Originally built in 1970, our Forks WA Lodging is a built around a classic lodge structure whose most striking feature is a huge vaulted-ceiling Great Room with a massive stone fireplace. The numerous couches and chairs in this room provide the space to be with others, and, at the same time, to be private. The Lodge also is home to our lovely Gift Shop which features Native American and Pacific Northwest art, decor, jewelry and more.
Step Outside and Experience the Pacific Northwest
Situated on ten acres of coastal rainforest, our Forks WA Lodging is just about as far west as you can get in the lower 48 states. The property’s hemlocks and spruce are still imposing, and there’s a Western Hemlock on the property well over 1000 years old. The grounds include wonderful trails, bits of whimsy and lovely spots to picnic.
Summer is a delight with sunshine and temperatures that rarely rise above 80 F. With winter come the fish. Local rivers (Sol Duc, Bogachiel, Calawah, Hoh) offer world-class salmon and steelhead fishing. We also experience powerful winter storms which shape our coastline. It’s worth a dose of rain and wind in the face to witness one of these, especially when a couch, fire and warm bed are just a couple of minutes away.
SELF CHECK-IN: Any time after 3pm (no early arrivals, please). Find the card with your name on it at the front door and follow check-in instructions inside. With the convenience of self check-in at our Forks Washington accommodations, you can take your time and arrive at your convenience.
There is something for everybody any time of year in the Olympic National Park and Forks Washington. Explore wilderness beaches such as Rialto Beach, hike in the moss-draped beauty of the Hoh rainforest, fish the plentiful rivers of the region, or enjoy sightseeing. Forks is also the setting for the Twilight Saga, and hosts the Forever Twilight Festival every fall.
We’re located just a 45 minute drive from the Hoh Rainforest and Sol Duc Hot Springs, and about an hour from Cape Flattery (most Northwestern point in the lower 48 states) and the Makah Reservation and Cultural Museum at Neah Bay. Rialto Beach, spectacularly rugged and log-strewn, is just 3 miles away. The Quileute Tribe resides 9 miles away at La Push, as well as First Beach at LaPush and Olympic National Park’s Second and Third Beaches (not to be confused with Beaches 1-3 south of Kalaloch).
Rialto Beach, the only drive-to beach in the immediate area, is a spectacular, driftwood-strewn beach on the north side of the Quileute river about 3 miles from the Manitou Lodge. The surf is generally heavy, the driftwood logs huge, and the sunsets are magnificent. The Rialto crescent extends for about 1.5 miles and ends with two towering sea stacks, tidal pools, and “Hole-in-the-Wall”, a surf-carved tunnel in a headland. The 18 mile hike north from Rialto Beach to Cape Alava is a favorite with backpackers.
First, Second and Third Beaches extend south from the mouth of the Quileute River. These beaches are long, flat crescents popular with photographers due to sea-stacks (a well-known sea-stack complex, the “Quileute Needles”, lies just offshore), tidal pools, and eagles. Access to Second and Third Beaches requires hikes of 0.5 to 1.5 miles, respectively. The headlands at First Beach and Second Beach can’t be passed, but one can backpack south from Third Beach along the coast for about 17 miles to Oil City.
The Hoh Visitor Center is about 30 miles from us, and the Hoh Rainforest is possibly best known attraction in the Olympic National Park. Average annual rainfall in the Hoh Valley is in excess of 150 inches, and has a spectacular effect on the vegetation. Along the “Hall of Mosses” Trail, the moss-draped maples are extravagantly green year round, so much so that somebody has written that the air appears to be jade-colored. The Spruce Trail follows the glacier-carved Hoh river maple and red alder “bottom”. Scenic raft trips are available in summer along the Hoh River, and guides can be contracted throughout the year for fishing and scenic trips.
Other regional activities near Forks Washington include world-class fishing, mountain-biking, hiking in the Olympic mountains and along the wild beaches that comprise the Pacific Coast portion of the Olympic National Park, or a visit to Cape Flattery, the most Northwestern point in the lower 48 states. A boardwalk recently completed by the Makah Nation, on whose lands the Cape sits, has considerably eased the hike. The views of the Straits of Juan de Fuca, Tatoosh Island, and Vancouver Island from the Cape cliffs are inspiring. While visiting the Cape, you won’t want to miss the outstanding Makah Cultural Center and Museum at Neah Bay. These are just a sampling of the possibilities on the West End. For a more comprehensive look, consult some of the links listed below and visit the Forks Chamber of Commerce Five Day Guide to the West End. Twilight fans won’t want to miss a stop in Forks, WA.
Guest Access: SELF CHECK-IN: Any time after 4pm (no early arrivals, please). Find the envelope with your name on it at the front door and follow check-in instructions inside. We are only a short drive from the beautiful Rialto beach if you find yourself ahead of schedule it is worth a short visit until your place is ready.

Les points forts : Infrastructures et conditions de l’hébergement
Les points faibles : Propreté et équipements
It felt like there was poor communication. And it seems like its not clear that this is a shared space. Other guests there were also surprised that this is much more like a hostal than a lodge. There is no kitchen and no cell service, and the wifi is so slow its unusable. There is also no tv. They sell firewood onsight but its expensive so get some in forks if you plan on having a fire.

This property needs some serious TLC. The room had cob webs, leaking toilet etc. It’s very remote, I never saw the host but got a text message. Check out instructions arrived after checkout etc. i expected so much more especially considering the price.

Very secluded area which we liked. The walls are thin with the shared unit we had so we had to be mindful of this when we got up very early in the morning for a hike on the beach.

Les points forts : Propreté et infrastructures et conditions de l’hébergement
It was an excellent option because of the proximity to Rialto Beach. We stayed here after we visited there. The main lodge was nice to sit in and relax and play games with my family. The shower was a little small but for a one night stay it was cozy and just what we needed. Cottage was clean and quiet.

The cabin we stayed in was woodsy and creatively decorated to fit the style and natural surroundings. The shower had plenty of hot water and good pressure, which, after days of hiking, is appreciated. The sheets were comfortable, and the towels were soft and plentiful for the two of us. The kitchen was fairly well appointed with bowls, coffee cups, glasses and plates and silverware. The refrigerator is very small, but it fits the decor in a fun way. There is a small freezer perfect for reusable ice packs. The location is very out in the woods, so think spiders and cobwebs. Great location for all of the beach hikes and exploring the natural area.We enjoyed our stay.

Okay
Location was impeccable
but the amenities was poor, nothing to cook with, just a microwave, what a waste of a gorgeous cabin to not be able to cook anything - property manager offered the fire pit but the grill was rusted over. All in all overly priced for what you get but again location is gorgeous.

Manitou Lodge
The unit was clean and the property was VERY quiet. The lodge which served as a common area was great. Centrally located for Forks, Rialto Beach and HOH Rainforest. Only issue was the price point for the rustic atmosphere and no on site amenities like laundry units.

It should be noted this is not the typical 2 bedroom accommodations. The queen bed is in the "living area" in the front room, and the bathroom is off the second room with the double bed. One must go through the back bedroom to use the bathroom. In the front room are the mini fridge, and microwave, however there is not sink in the front room, one must use the sink in the back bedroom. That arrangement was not what we expected when we reserved the room. However, we were able to work with it and enjoyed our stay in the area.

Very Accommodating
Our original lodging became unavailable to to an unforeseen circumstance. The staff at Manitou Lodge were so helpful and accommodating. We ended up staying in the lodge and had a blast. The rooms were great and fit us well. The community space in the lodge was great as well. We were comfortably able to play games and spread out. The only thing it lacked was a kitchenette. Otherwise, all was great. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommended. Communication was fantastic and staff were super friendly.
The location worked great for us. We were able to explore La Push, Ruby Beach, Tree of Life, Hoh Rainforest, etc. Definitely come prepared food wise if you don’t plan on eating out every meal. There are microwaves, mini fridges and coffee makers. Closest store/restaurant closed at 7pm when we were there. There are more options along the main drag in Forks.(Grocery store and restaurants)

The fun factor of glamping is it’s positive qualities. It works but the advertisement is wrong. I had no fireplace (only one shared fireplace in the common area). No pool…wasn’t expecting one but ad said pool/spa. Overpriced for what was provided. Wifi was slower that cellular, no tv. Cramped 400 sqft two bedroom.
I enjoyed my quiet stay, luckily no one else was there or I would be crowded. Need to know what you are getting into. If I had 5 friends all renting a room in the main lodge and we took over the common area, it might be a bette review.
Advertisement is not correct, and too expensive

Cozy cottage near Rialto
We could stay at this cozy, comfortable cottage only one night but wish it could have been more. We loved the location among old-growth trees, dripping in the rain. While small, the cottage was warm and welcoming and worked well for the three of us. We appreciated how easy it was to get to Rialto Beach. We would gladly stay here again!

Les points faibles : Services et équipements et infrastructures et conditions de l’hébergement
The living room and porch were a shared space, which was a surprise to us based on the pictures (we didn't read the description closely enough, I guess!), but even still the living room was a cluttered space with a sink randomly in the middle, a pile of shirts in a corner, a random sheet, a check in desk...just not super comfortable. I wasn't able to get pictures since it was locked randomly at one point. The property is in a beautiful corner of the woods, but we didn't spend much time outside, there were cars and trailers kind of randomly strewn about. The walls of the cabin are super thin, so we were kept up by our neighbor who were talking past midnight and up before 7am. The window screens were broken, so it was hard to keep the windows open on a hot night since bugs were getting in. Also, the only bathroom is accessed through a bedroom, so we didn't feel like we had convenient access to a bathroom, at risk of waking our friends in the middle of the night. I'd say it's good if you want like a rugged sort of "glamping" camping experience.
