« We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Gilvenbank Hotel and would highly recommend it. There are plenty of well lit parking spaces and it is lovely and quiet. The staff are so friendly, helpful and very cheery, including the house cleaners, waitresses, receptionists and bar staff. We stayed in room 4 on the upper floor and loved it as it's very spacious, clean and has a comfy bed. Our breakfasts and meals at night were so tasty and we loved the large portions. « The property itself was a lovely upstairs room, generous in size and very close to the rail station with a direct line to Edinburgh. We had a two night stay and found the bed to be very comfortable. A generous soak bath tub is in the main bedroom. Little snacks were a pleasant gift. Small issues were disappointing.On arrival there was no soap in the container and We were disappointed that despite asking for the room to be serviced, the soap was not replenished, toilet paper not replenished and...

« This was a great and affordable cabin and it was in an awesome, quiet area just south of the caringorms national Park. The owner is a real gentleman and the tavern he runs has amazing steak pies. Would stay again »

« A la fin d'une semaine en Ecosse l'hôtellerie locale est assez décevante surtout du côté du Loch Ness...mais pas ici. Le bâtiment a beaucoup de caractère avec un beau jardin bien orienté pour prendre un café, un thé ou un apéritif. La chambre était de bonne taille (environ 25 M2), récemment refaite avec des accessoires de bonne qualité et très lumineuse. L'endroit est calme. Le petit déjeuner écossais est complet. The property is on North St so close to the Old Course for golfers and within easy walking distance of the beach and shops and there is a very pleasant walled garden at the back.
