Year Round Fun - Dog Friendly!

Welcome to Southpoint Retreat! We named this home after the southern tip of the compass rose, a navigational tool that has served sailors, fisherman, travelers, and adventurers for many years. At Southpoint Retreat in Florence, time slows down and the peaceful and relaxing environment helps you to navigate wherever you are headed.

Within a quick five-minute drive, you can be at the beach, the dunes, several freshwater fishing lakes, two golf courses, the Three Rivers Casino, horseback riding, hiking, and some of the very best food on the Oregon Coast. Just a few more minutes in the car and you will find yourself at the Sea Lion Caves and one of the most photographed and iconic lighthouses in America - Heceta Head.

Our home offers spacious accommodations for your whole family with two primary bedrooms with en suite spa-like bathrooms and cozy, plush bedding and linens. Plus, a large twin bunkbed in a third bedroom, with room for an additional playpen or cot and a cozy family room with a brand new extra comfortable sleeper sofa.

The home is large and comfortable, with two separate gathering areas and a dining room that can easily accommodate nine diners. We have lots of games to keep everyone entertained. The kitchen has every tool and appliance that you might need, including an air fryer, an Instapot, and a indoor grill. We offer onsite laundry as well.

Outside, we have an absolutely huge yard with two outdoor areas, each with their own firepit and mood lighting. And, since it is the Oregon coast, one of those is covered and includes a dartboard and drinks refrigerator. We also love dogs and are happy to host your four-legged friends (limit 2). We have a nice dog exercise area that includes an outdoor dog washing station to rinse off some of that sand before you all settle in to watch your favorite TV show on one of our three televisions or roast marshmallows on one of the two outdoor fire pits (or the indoor woodstove, if the weather turns). The home also offers two large off street parking areas that can accommodate your toy trailer or fishing boat.

We Didn't realize it was in a housing neighborhood, pretty far from water.We loved the walk-in shower. Backyard great. Loved the stand up wood stove in back. Easy to use locking mechanism on door.lint filter on dryer needs fixing.

The home was set up nicely with lots of thoughtful details like games, welcome tray, fire pit, lots of seating options inside and out, and comfy beds. Everything felt clean and well taken care of. Fun in Florence

Great house. Central location. Everything we needed plus a great snack basket left for us on arrival. My boys gobbled it up. Only odd thing was there’d was no “guest” bathroom. Two bathrooms - each attached to a bedroom. Third bedroom was the odd man out - had to cut through another bedroom to use the bathroom. Other than that - perfect. Even a peanut butter tree in the backyard. In full bloom - beautiful and smelled wonderful! Wish our dogs were with us - there is a great set up for the fur babies! Would definitely stay again.

Great place for dogs!

Wonderful property! Really nice outdoor space. Dog friendly is an understatement. We have 2 small dogs and the fencing was well done, so we could relax knowing they would not wander off. The loved playing in the yard while we roasted marshmallows over the fire pit. The house itself is very comfortable. Separate living room and family room was great for having a quiet space. Bathrooms accessible only through the bedrooms was odd but didn’t impact our stay. Beds were comfortable and bedding clean and soft. Kitchen had every appliance I could possibly hope for, and dining table doubled as board game central. Felt very welcome with all the extra little amenities, thank you!

It is a beautiful home and very comfortable. It is close to Old Town and the different beaches. The weather was lousy. Stayed in and played games with family that lives next door. Nice back yard for my doggies. I would definitely stay again!

Home away from home

Wonderful home with everything you could possibly need. We had 4 children & 2 adults. Plenty of room for all of us. Bathroom even had a shampoo dispenser inside shower with tons of amenities in both bathrooms. Kitchen was full of everything you need. Thank you for the cute arrival basket. The kids enjoyed the snacks & I did as well. We enjoyed the outside side area a lot. Nice place to relax, play darts & enjoy the gas fire pit doing s’mores. Will be coming again.

The home was perfect for us. We were 2 couples with 2 dogs. Everything we could need was there. The house was spotless and the beds were very comfortable. I had some questions and Garett was very quick to respond. If we come back up this way, I’d make sure the house was available, or I’d switch my dates.

Perfect spot for our Coast getaway!

This is a very thoughtfully prepared home, perfect for families and pets. We loved the welcome basket, outdoor space, dog amenities and great location. The kid space was well stocked with balls, books, games and of course nerf guns! Many nerf wars were waged and a WONDERFUL time was had by all. Hope to stay again! Thank you.
