Whether you're seeking outdoor adventure or a relaxing lakeside escape, the Bancroft area offers something to enjoy in every season. We will provide a detailed Guidebook before your arrival providing information about the Neighbourhood and, recommendations and places to visit.

Guests have exclusive use of LakeHaus40 and the guest-accessible areas of the property throughout their reservation.

There is no boat launch directly on the property. There is a boat launch at Baptiste Lake Marina for a small fee of $15.

LakeHaus40 is built on a sloped waterfront property. **Access from the cottage/deck toward the lake includes a set of steep stairs**, which are shown in our listing photos. A personal vehicle is strongly recommended when visiting LakeHaus40, as Faraday is a rural community without regular public transit or passenger train service. Downtown Bancroft is approximately eight minutes away by car.

Local transportation options include:

• Back Woods Taxi: Serving Bancroft and the surrounding area. Call to confirm availability and arrange transportation in advance.

• Enterprise Rent-A-Car: Located at 8 Valleyview Drive in Bancroft. Call or reserve online. Advance reservations are recommended, particularly for weekends and holidays.

• Bancroft Community Transit: An advance-booked community transportation service intended primarily for essential trips and eligible riders. At least 24 hours’ notice may be required. Call for availability and eligibility information.

Taxi and rideshare availability can be limited, especially during evenings, weekends and holidays. Guests should arrange transportation in advance and should not rely on Uber or Lyft being available.
