Welcome to Three Doors North! This two-story, 2-bedroom apartment in a triplex is a comfortable home base for northern lights trips, summer adventures, visiting family, or work. It’s about a 17-minute walk to downtown restaurants and half a mile to the Chena River walk.

The space: The living room and kitchen are on the main floor. Upstairs are two queen bedrooms and a full bathroom with a tub/shower combo. Both bedrooms have blackout curtains, which make a real difference during summer’s nearly 24-hour daylight. The Brown Bedroom has its own thermostat. Sleeps 4 in beds, or up to 6 with the couch (not a pull-out) and an air mattress. A pack-and-play and stair gate are available for little ones.

Kitchen: Full-size fridge, oven and stovetop, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, and a single-serve coffee maker. Coffee and a few cooking staples are there to get you started.

Shared spaces: Unit A shares the arctic entry (mudroom), the free washer and dryer, and a fenced backyard with a swing set and fire pit with the downstairs guest unit and our household.

Good to know: We live right next door and are glad to help. You have one marked driveway spot, block-heater outlets for winter, and smart TVs in the living room and both bedrooms. Like most multi-unit homes, everyday sounds carry, and the stairs are a little creaky. There’s no air conditioning, which is normal for Fairbanks. Fans are provided.
