« Property is apparently in receivership. Staff is keeping it going, but barely. Owner is nowhere to be found. If you check in after noon, nobody’s in the office. »

The decor was lovely, the bed was very comfortable, and the shared spaces (like the pool/terrace) were great for meeting other travelers. « L’hotel est situé en montagne avec une vue superbe sur la ville. Nécessite une voiture ou un taxi pour les déplacement. Le restaurant était fermé en raison d’une tempête tropical le mois dernier mais le resto Sib’s pas très loin était parfait et peu dispendieux et prisé des locaux. Belle piscine ensoleillée. »

« We really wanted to love everything about this place, but the service is the worst that I have ever experienced at any hotel! They did a great job with the branding and marketing but unfortunately the experience does not live up to the expectation. The staff seemed like they really didn’t want to be there and the food was terrible at all of the restaurants. « The staff is the shining star of Emerald Resort. The resort is in need of updating, it has a great location and all the rooms face the beach but it is rundown. Which gives off as not being clean. At breakfast one of my travel companions' breakfast came with butter packets and one of the butter packets had already been used. Plus the sugar bowl had empty packets in it and the jelly packets had food smeared on the bottom which says they reuse them for other guests. »

« It rained the day we arrived and when we got there, the whole kitchen and living room were flooded and the rug was soaked for the whole 7 day trip so the whole house stunk of mildew the entire trip. We woke up sick every morning from breathing in the nasty air all night.
