« We loved this little spot - especially as it sits on a black sand beach!! Meaning we didn’t have to pay to get into another black sand beach nearby (that you have to book a reservation 30 days in advance for). It was right there!! The room was clean and the view was beautiful! It’s the perfect way to split up The Road to Hana as well! Even though there’s no AC, the room stayed cool as there are fans provided along with the naturally cool breeze. Check-in was easy and communication with the host...

This place far exceeded our expectations, the bed was comfy, the futons were all made with sheets and ready for our sleepy kids, and the sound of the waves crashing on the rocky black sand beach outside was indescribable! « We live on Maui and have stayed in Hana many times, but never at the Hana Kai...and it definitely won't be our last time! From the moment you walk in and see the view right over the water, to the cute and clean decor, this place had it all. Not to mention it was fully stocked, even more than other places we've stayed at. I absolutely will return and recommend others to as well! »

« Our bottom floor condo had all of the amenities we needed and more! The closets were stocked with gear for fishing, paddling, snorkeling, etc. Large outside barbeque with pool and chairs made us like we didn't miss out an anything if we just stayed at the condo. We cooked at least one meal a day at the condo which is close to a private-like park at the end of the street. This was perfect for our needs and the value was amazing. This was our most memorable stay in Hawaii and we will be back! »
