Back in the day, the Litch Hotel had 11 apartments and just one bathroom on the 2nd floor (can you imagine?! đ ), but donât worry â times have definitely changed! The entryway outside your unit is the only shared space, so feel free to get cozy and relax however you like â no oneâs around to judge your Netflix binges or late-night PJs! đđïž

Yep, youâre basically in the middle of it. đïž Perfect for a leisurely stroll to grab a coffee or check out local shops. âđïž Joseph is just a short 10-minute drive away for those wanting a taste of small-town fun or the beauty of Wallowa Lake! đđČ Wallowa Lake is about 15 minutes by car, and trust us, itâs worth the trip for a day of lakeside adventures. đ¶đŁ Need supplies? No worries â the grocery store is just a stoneâs throw away. Perfect for stocking up on snacks or dinner essentials. đđ« Parking? Easy peasy! Free parking is right outside, so no need to stress about finding a spot. Not in the mood to drive? No problem! Enterprise is totally walkable, and biking around the area is always a great idea! đŽââïžđ
UNIT DETAILS & POLICIES
đNOISE CONSIDERATIONS: The Litch hotel is old and wasnât built with modern soundproofing. You will hear sounds from adjacent units, whether above, below, or next door, as well as footsteps and movement on the stairs and in the hallways.
The Litch is designed for families, couples, and friends looking for a comfortable and fun place to relax after enjoying all that Wallowa County has to offer. However, if youâre looking for a place to have a bachelor party or kegger, this isnât the right venue. Our goal is to create a welcoming environment where all guests can enjoy their stay without excessive noise from others. Most guests are consciousness which allows everyone to have a great time. Occasionally a loud knucklehead will stay next door.
We ask all guests to be mindful of the noise they make especially during stated quite hours so all guests can fully enjoy their time here. Thank you for understanding and for helping us preserve the peaceful charm of the Litch Hotel!

đčSECURITY: A motion-activated video doorbell is installed in the exterior entryway.
đ§șWASHER/DRYER: there is no washer/dryer on site. There is a laundromat about 2 blocks away and you we offer a wash/fold service as well (Details available in our guidebook).
đȘVENTILATION: This condo doesn't have any windows that can be opened. We account for this in 3 ways, 1) a ductless AC/Heat mini split, 2) ceiling fan and 3) an air purifier.
đROLLAWAY BEDS: If you will need linens for the rollaway beds, please request in advance. Note: Rollaway beds are supplied unmade with a stack of all necessary linens.
Very spacious place with all the necessary amenities. The foosball, shuffleboard and pool table were excellent buffers while we planned our hikes around the Wallowa Lake. Great surrounding parks, restaurants and shops.
We love staying here when we come back to wallowa county to visit family. The location is great and the accommodations are even better. Our kids especially love all the characters of each of the units.
We've rented homes in the Wallowa Valley for decades. This is BY FAR our favorite. Two main reasons. First, the property itself is new and immaculate. But second, and maybe even more important, is MANAGEMENT. It's owned and managed by the same local family, and it's the best service I've ever had in the Wallowa Valley or any other rental anywhere. We hardly needed to ask for anything (extra towels, sand for the shuffleboard table), but when we did, we texted, and they showed up in MINUTES. And they took the trash out while they were there! And speaking of great service, there was no weird rules and no long list of check-out requirements like stripping the bed and taking out the trash, etc. Just "start the dishwasher if there's anything in it".
Now, about the property, the description and photos speak for themselves. We looooved it. Also loved the location. Within a few blocks were a bakery, a bookstore, a bar, multiple cafes and restaurants, a convenience store, a grocery store, an antiques store, multiple boutiques, and two gas stations. It's only ten minutes to Joseph and 15-20 to the lake (depending on which end).
Just a couple of things to know (I trust they'll comment if/when these change): (1) There are no laundry facilities on site, but there's a laundromat a two blocks away and another in Joseph. (2) The showers only have gentle rainfall shower heads at this time; the bath does have a decent hand sprayer. (3) The beds are very firm; I needed a topper.
WORTH IT.
Pros: The hosts were great with communication and there were lots of thoughtful touches-aromatherapy and diffuser, dog biscuits and dog waste bags as well as a dog bed and food and water bowls. We also loved the big dining room table for meals and games.
We enjoyed the using pool table, foosball and shuffleboard games which made it fun for everyone to be in the same room at the same time interacting while playing different games.
Cons: The reason we gave this a 4 and not 5 stars was primarily the location. The unit is a renovated space with lots of nice touches. However the windows and natural lighting come from store front windows which caused a dilema of natural light vs privacy. There was also a (surprise to us) car show the entire day which blocked off the street. The lack of privacy and all of the noise/ongoing narration and announcements related to the car show were issues for us, and obviously outside of the host's control.
Had we known beforehand, planned for or been interested in the car show, it would have been a wonderful location. :)
