« We enjoyed our weekend at this property. It was comfortable, clean, and spacious. Beautiful acreage surrounding the home. Location was great for exploring Shenandoah, Luray, etc. Friendly host was an excellent communicator. Of note, in June there were lots and lots of flies and other insects around so I wouldn’t recommend a rural stay if that would be bothersome. »

« We gathered family from around the country to celebrate our son”s graduation from JMU. Zion Abode was the PERFECT location. It allows all the family to stay together, has amazing views and tremendous amenities for gathering and enjoying each other. We recommend it as the pinnacle of luxury accommodations in the area! « The abode is located in the basement of a very nice home in a quiet neighborhood. It has a private entrance, very spacious living room and a small kitchenette. There was plenty of towels provided as well as an ironing board/iton, broom and vacuum. Since it is in the lower level of a home, you do have the noise of people above you but it was very quiet at night and in the early morning.It snowed while we were visiting and the host was so kind he cleared our walkway too. We would definitely stay...

« Absolutely perfect if you have small kids (and even if you don't). Host was quick to respond. There were so many great activities available for our kids to do. Everything was super clean, well organized, and the living area, which we used for the kids' bedroom, was perfect for little ones. Next time we need to come to the area we will definitely try to rebook this place. »

« We had a wonderful stay in Luray. We immediately fell in love with the house from the large front porch to the beautiful rooms to the craft architectural touches throughout the house. I was very touched by the unexpected extra measures taken by the host to make us feel welcome including a coffee station, games, and a fully stocked kitchen. This was my first VRBO experience and the kindness of the host made it a very positive experience. »

« Very welcoming home. It was a great place to relax and enjoy time with our family. It served as a perfect “base camp” for hikes at Shenandoah National Park. The home owner has provided additional amenities (soap, shampoo, k-cups, games,…) which was an added bonus. We really enjoyed our stay. »

« So much of this trip was ideal. From attentive communication to easy check-in to a gorgeous setting, we appreciated it all. Take care with the driveway as rain has washed some small places away. Slow and steady. Location is ideal for a quick trip to Charlottesville or Shenendoah National Park. The restaurant on nearby Lydia mountain has solid offerings and rockstar patio views. Or go nowhere and settle in. The creek on site offers its own delights. We spotted a blue heron and a ground hog. The...

« Check-in and checkout was flawless. Cabin was amazing and has everything you need to be comfortable from the kitchen amenities to bathroom to laundry! Views are breath taking!! Will be staying again in the future! I will say an SUV did make it easy to get up and down the mountain, no paved roads all dirt. Great waterfall hike nearby as well!! Family enjoyed our get away. 10 out of 10 would stay here all over again! »

10/10 Excellent

"Nous avons passé 3 nuits début juillet 2025 à Skyland, et ce fut une expérience exceptionnelle ! Notre chambre double avec deux lits queen était spacieuse, propre et très confortable. Elle disposait de tout le nécessaire : TV, Wi-Fi, machine à café, et surtout une superbe terrasse avec une vue à couper le souffle sur les montagnes de Shenandoah : un vrai bonheur au lever comme au coucher du soleil. Le personnel a été extrêmement accueillant et serviable tout au long du séjour, ce qui a rendu l’expérience encore plus agréable. L’hôtel est idéalement situé au cœur du parc, parfait pour rayonner sur Skyline Drive et profiter des randonnées sans passer trop de temps en voiture. Sur place, tout est prévu pour un séjour pratique et agréable : restaurant, bar, boutique, machine à glace, parking gratuit… (Seul petit point à noter : il n’y a pas de piscine, mais franchement, on ne vient pas ici pour ça !). Nous recommandons chaudement Skyland à tous ceux qui veulent profiter pleinement de Shenandoah NP dans un cadre naturel, calme et authentique. Nous y retournerions sans hésiter !"
