The home was absolutely beautiful. It was much larger inside than it appeared in the pictures. I was a perfect spot for my husband and I and our two children to stay at while skiing at Beech Mountain.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Very quiet and comfortable accommodations. Our host was very helpful and so kind. Very easy to get to Banner Elk and close to Boone and Linville. Would highly recommend!

Very nice spot. It’s clean has comfortable furniture in the living room, great fireplaces and very well equipped in the kitchen. Would highly recommend staying here.

The entire experience exceeded our expectations. Everything we wanted and needed was in the home and in great shape. Despite an arctic blast, we still enjoyed access to the river and the trout that inhabit the backyard, all of which were still swimming when we left. Perfect family holiday for us, Thank you for sharing.

Beautiful setting

Hobbit Retreat was the perfect location for hiking the AT and for dining in Banner Elk. The sound of the river is wonderful from the outside seating areas, the kitchen was well-equipped and everything was clean and new!

Great location, great place, and great host. The only regret we have is not staying longer. If you’re looking for some family fun and R &R, this is the place to be.

The view of the creek below was great. The Hobbit house was very unique and we loved that! We had one person in a wheelchair, so access was essential and it worked out perfectly. The host was very quick to respond. We would stay there again!

Very cool place

Really neat place, definitely stay if you are tired of the same old log cabin. Excellent kitchen, and HEATED FLOORS IN THE BATHROOM!
