Elm House is designed for comfort, connection, and relaxation. The home sleeps up to 8 guests across 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The open living area features a large cozy couch, forest and fire pit views, and a Roku-enabled smart TV for entertainment.

The fully equipped kitchen includes full-size appliances, cookware, and everyday essentials for cooking meals together. For the coffee enthusiast, we offer a Fellow Opus burr grinder, a gooseneck kettle, a V60 and a coffee scale – no need to bring your setup from home.

Each bedroom includes new memory foam mattresses, blackout curtains for deep sleep, and its own remote-controlled mini-split system for reliable heat and AC year-round.

Both bathrooms feature modern fixtures and reliable hot water. The primary bathroom is a standout, with a deep soaking tub positioned for quiet unwinding, perfect after ski days or time outdoors. Soft lighting and a calm, spa-like feel make it a favorite among guests. The second bathroom includes a walk-in shower and is thoughtfully stocked for easy, comfortable mornings.

Guests enjoy full access to the entire home, including all living spaces, the fully equipped kitchen, the three serene bedrooms, two modern bathrooms, and the in-home laundry.

Outside, you’ll have exclusive use of your private back yard, outdoor seating areas, fire pit lounge, and driveway parking.

The 6.7 acres are mainly peaceful wooded land that is shared with one other residence on the property. While the acreage is shared, all of your immediate outdoor spaces—including the fire pit and gathering areas—are completely private to your stay. The neighboring home has its own separate outdoor zones, ensuring a sense of seclusion throughout your visit.

Winter guests should note that roads and driveways can become snow-covered—the driveway is regularly plowed, but AWD/4WD vehicles are recommended during heavier snowstorms. Great for hiking season spring through fall, and ideal for winter skiing and snow activities near Big Bear. No parties or events. Elm House is intended for quiet, respectful stays only.

Only registered guests are allowed on the property. No outside visitors without prior approval.

No pets. Elm House is a fully pet-free property — a perk for guests with allergies and anyone who prefers a dander-free, exceptionally clean environment.

No shoes inside the home. This is a no-shoe household which ensures that the indoor spaces are cleaner, cozier, and more comfortable for everyone. We recommend bringing your favorite slippers from home, and a shoe mat is provided at the entrance for convenience.

No smoking or vaping inside the homes.

Fire-pit use: Fires must be attended at all times and fully extinguished before going inside.

Winter stays: Please keep all windows and doors closed and locked to maintain heat and keep the cold air out.

Security cameras: Ring floodlight cameras face the driveway and entry for safety. There are no cameras inside the home or in private outdoor spaces.

Respect the natural setting. Please do not feed wildlife and keep doors closed to prevent critters from entering.

Please clean up food and spills promptly to help maintain the home and avoid wildlife attraction.

Please observe the check-out time unless previously arranged. Our cleaning team works on a fixed schedule.
