« Hotel was well run and the chef kindly cooked some food of mine due to numerous dietary restricttions, and did it beautifully. Dog was welcome and much kindness shown to both of us. Would highly recommend particularly to solo travellers or those with dog. »
« The main thing to be said about our stay at the poltimore is that the staff really couldnt do enough for you. So attentive and lovely. The room was clean, spacious and had a stunning view of the countryside. The water sometimes ran brown, but this is probably the only negative comment to be said. Food has always been very nice here. We happily stay here again. »

We were fortunate to be upgraded from a room in the pub to one of the relatively new lodges. The lodge was immaculate on arrival and very comfortable and well equipped.
We had breakfast included and this was first class with locally sourced food included.
We had two evening dinners at the pub and both were excellent from the very varied menu on offer. »

Room 3 was extremely well appointed with our own entrance and outdoor space. The small kitchen area included a microwave great for a cosy meal in. The continental breakfast was amazing and really set you up for the day.
Set in quiet countryside outside Bideford with easy access to local attractions and exploring the countryside.
A really relaxing break for us and would definitely recommend staying...

« We had an overnight stay here for a friend's birthday and really enjoyed our stay , It's not the Ritz as some previous reviewers seemed to expect,but it was clean ,the guy on the reception was friendly and helpful and we managed to use the outdoor swimming pool.An ideal location for what we needed , »
« This was ideal for me. I loved it here. It was really peaceful. I couldn't hear a thing apart from the birds and the occasional sheep. I stayed for 4 days and I wished it could have been longer. There is no TV in the hut which also suits me to the ground. The wi-fi is excellent so if you do want to watch something on an I pad or tablet you will have no problem with the reception.
There was a nice touch with tea making facilities and scones provided for the 4 days that I was there.
