The nearby sandy beach is a lovely place for a walk, and families often enjoy the playpark at Castle Green. There are also a number of local cycle paths to explore along the coast.

Golfers are well placed here, with Carnoustie and St Andrews both within easy reach.

Broughty Ferry train station is within walking distance, making it easy to travel further afield. Dundee city centre is only four miles away and offers attractions such as the V&A Museum.
