It was a lovely property but we used the hot tub in our room and it was disgusting! There was absolutely no staff on-site either. Then out our window there was a balcony type of thing with pieces of the building, gloves and tools. I get it is an old building but maybe just clean that up.
If you're looking for a unique and interesting place to stay in Duluth this is a great fit! The staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable and it is located in a beautiful and historic area.
Stay was fantastic and common areas were superb to relax, to read or lounge. Loved our room the Terrace Suite and know anyone would surely enjoy there stay in any of the rooms.
The house is beautiful, the wood work is stunning, the room and bed very cozy, very quiet, nice view
However next time i stay i will not do add ons we got the brunch box and is was nothing like the picture i figured a few changes but there was no meat no cheese no bread there were 2 muffins 2 orange juice 2 yogurt 2 hand size pancakes with a tiny jar of jam grapes and blueberries which was found after 40 minutes in the fridge, was not set up
There was no bottled water anywhere the 2 days we were there not even in the room when i asked they basically said drink tap, sorry but no, we stayed in the park avenue suit do not touch the bed post dang thing almost killed me they are not attached. The ice machine needs to be replaced from not properly cleaning it, it's gross.
I will be back because we did have a great time just gonna do things different
The mansion was super pretty, all the rooms were designed well and the bed was comfortable and the room was clean and more than big enough for me, definitely worth it
MURPHY BED, DO NOT BOOK!! Worst bed I have ever stayed on in a hotel or BnB. Our backs were toast after 2 nights! Floors were uneven and had large gaps in the hardwood. The bed had a negative incline toward your head, so while sleeping the blood would rush to your head, we slept upside down to avoid this. False advertising with the pictures showing a regular bed.
The place is nice...but it's far from everything if you don't have a car you'll have to walk everywhere because transportation in Duluth is horrible.
The breakfast was poor and very disappointed.
There's no staff to answer questions, you have to call a phen number...also very disappointed
Very unique, clean and quiet. A few little issues but easy fixes. Main shower head had low pressure, leaked a little and took a long time to heat up. There was a shower head connected to the tub that had good pressure. Tv remote needs to be fixed, we thought it was dead and put it in the window to charge but that didnât work. It was someone how not synced to the tv. Bathroom did not have a fan which isnât ideal when itâs right near the bed, maybe an air freshener or something like that for future use. Other than those things which are minor the room was spacious and clean.
Cotton Mansion is a wonderfully renovated early 20th century residence. The lobby, woodwork and fixtures are impressive. Our room was Clean, Quiet, interestingly decorated. Bathroom and Vintage clawfoot tub/shower, tiles and fixtures. Well worth the stay. We'd go back again.
