« This is a great place, but there’s a couple of things you need to know before renting.First, if you can’t tell from the pictures, only the bedroom and bathroom are enclosed, the kitchen is completely open – no screens. That means bugs – it's Costa Rica after all. No mosquitoes, but beetles, flies, little flying things, and the occasional millipede. You can reduce the insects by not turning on the outside lights at night (finish eating before dark) and cleaning up dishes etc. immediately after...

« This place was way up in the Pinilla Highlands but such a cool little spot. The pool had leaves in ot due to the winds but was very clean unlike some places we have stayed. The host was very responsive and the property was very clean and comfortable. Wonderful little getaway. You could also see the howler money when you walked to the pool. The road getting to this little gem was a bit rough so you need a 4x4 vehicle for sure. Really close to Avellanas beach area and restaurants. A big plus! »
