Luxury Villa Fig with heated infinity pool and Jacuzzi-near Dubrovnik

LOCATION
We are just far enough away from the crowds, located over the border into the quieter Herzegovina region of BOSNIA. (New faster border channels were completed in December 2019).

Villa Fig is just a 7 minute drive from the beautiful beaches of Srebreno and Milini and the fabulous jewel of the Adriatic, the city of Dubrovnik. The historic city dates back to the 7th Century with its prominent surrounding walls being a highlight for visitors. The walls have been a popular filming location for the fictional city of “King’s Landing” in the television series, “Game of Thrones”.

Our local, 13th century, walled town of Trebinje is a historic delight to explore. The piazzas and cafe bars nestled under the great “Platani” trees are a great place to people watch and enjoy a coffee or ice cream.

There is a newly opened Water Park and in the evening “Vukoje” winery, with a rooftop terrace and restaurant offers diners great views over the town and river Trebisnjica. The town has something for everyone.

Further afield in Bosnia, Mostar and Kravice waterfalls are a fun day out or why not travel further afield to the Fjords of Kotor in Montenegro.

Due to our location and no public transport, car rental is essential.

THE SPACE

The private villa is part of a small family resort and proudly commands magical views over the mountains and the valley to the Adriatic Sea. Villa Fig provides a quiet and comfortable ambience for those who seek some quality time with friends and family.

Beautiful mountain and sea views are best enjoyed from the impressive infinity pool (9mx4m) or Jacuzzi and extensive terraces with an area to BBQ, dine Alfresco or to relax on the sun loungers and outdoor sofas. Pool heating is included in the cooler months but in July and August it can be offered at £15 per day. The Jacuzzi is heated all year round to the temperature required for your comfort. Please note the pool will not be filled from end of November until beginning of April, as it is not possible to heat in the winter months unless requested.

The light and airy interior is beautifully decorated in a contemporary style to a high standard, air-conditioned throughout and with satellite TV and internet access. The open plan design, with a fully fitted kitchen adjoining the dining area allows for modern day living and entertaining.

Villa Fig sleeps up to 8 with 2 Master bedrooms en suite and 2 Twin rooms with adjacent bathrooms. There is a further WC and shower, hidden in the rocks by the pool. Additional guest bed & baby cot available upon request.

Ideally located just 4 km away from the nearest beaches and restaurants, 6 km from Dubrovnik Old Town and 14 km from Dubrovnik Airport.

Please note we are away from the crowds and a car in needed for all aspects of getting around.

GUEST ACCESS

The manager will be there to meet and greet you. However, for the late arrivals, a key safe is available, with code and contact numbers given after booking.

We have also designed a brochure that is updated annually, tantalizing you with ideas of places to visit, complete with maps and directions! Places that are a bit off the beaten track and that the regular tourist won’t know about. We have ideas and tips for excursions, beaches and restaurants and sporting activities that have been recommended by the owner or previous guests. Ideal pool-side reading!

The owner will not be on the premises whilst guests are staying but there will be a property manager to meet and greet you and answer any enquiries.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE

All linen is included.

Bedding and towels changed on request or after a 1 week stay.

Bathroom and pool towels are provided but NOT beach towels.

Price includes service/cleaning charge. Plus we offer a complimentary 2 hour mini housekeeping service once per week, servicing the kitchen, lounge and bathrooms.

On request we can provide a full single pull out bed, large baby travel cot, high chair and baby car seat.

We can also offer a babysitting service, if staff is available. There is a small additional cost charged for these services.

We do not have any public transport and so are not suitable for non drivers.
